Looks like the "worst man made environmental disaster" isn't so bad after all.

Very true, but this isn't even healing, it's lack of damage.

The truth of the matter is the news media as usual uses every thing to push the democrart agenda. lets see how far I missed the mark. when this thing occured I stated that it would have a lid on it in 90days--- well it took 88 days and flow was stoped. the only reason this is going forward is the democrats have not got the milage out of it that they wanted. the result is drilling has stopped and we are losing oil production every day --some of our big deep water rigs have already moved over seas. unemployment is rising and our dollar is shrinking I could go on for ever but I think you get the pictureI dont think I need to explain any more.

The full effects have yet to be determined.

We don't deserve to see another 5 million barrel spill.

Because of the oil that naturally leaks from the seabed in that area, I suspect the oil eating bacteria is abundant & has handled/is eating more oil than expected. We have yet to see the long term effects of the oil & dispersants yet. Time will tell.

No doubt about the hype, though not all of the over-sensational crap was political in origin.

"....We got the bubble-headed-bleach-blonde who
comes on at five
She can tell you 'bout the plane crash with a gleam
in her eye
It's interesting when people die-
Give us dirty laundry

Can we film the operation?
Is the head dead yet?
You know, the boys in the newsroom got a running bet
Get the widow on the set!
We need dirty laundry....."

The Prez., if a Dem, probably could get away with killing homeless people for fun.... but let slip a stained dress for real evidence, or a video on youtube of a dalliance with a Boy Scout, and that's the kind of prurient goody no "journalist" can resist. Despite the majority having been indoctrinated into the lefty ideology, EVERY news guy really wants to be the next Woodward & Bernstein, and the grand prize isn't the pulitizer, but the credit for bringing down an administration. Any will do. Sure, they'd prefer to catch the "enemy" at something, but the Dems, if it's juicy enough, will do.

The damage this admin. has done to the economy, especially the green revolution stuff, don't qualify as good news. It fails to fit the script, and most reporters are pretty ignorant of the economy/accounting/law/etc. anyway.

After all, if they could do, they wouldn't be trying for fame for telling.
