My terrible AT&T plan is up at the beginning of next month and I think I've decided on Sprint's 69.99 unlimited plan and the HTC EVO 4G.

Does anybody have any experience with this phone or plan? I'd love your input. Also anybody know of discounts that can apply to Sprint?

Honestly, I have nothing good to say about Sprint. Cheap "service" is exactly that.

yes with the plan and the phone. (kinda)

Was with ATT for years and switched to sprint last year. I have the HTC Hero now and love it, getting the EVO for my bday from wife. We are on the unlimited plan and it's great, I think it's ~130 a month for the both of us.

Played with the EVO for a bit, really nice, SWEET screen. I personally can't wait to get it.

I personally have nothing good to say about ATT, you wanna talk about cheap. So far Sprint has treated me better in the year I have been with them than ATT did for the 7 I was with them.

Ive had sprint for well over a decade and had no issues with them at all. Ive always had a fair priced and reliable plan. A guy I work with has the evo. It is awesome as far as I can tell. Im going to get one but Im waiting. I heard a rumor that the Evo will have a dual core processor before the end of the year.

Evo is a great phone... Sprint has the best plans out there but their coverage is limited. MAKE SURE you check the 3/4G coverage in your area and look at the nationwide map. If you are on the road a lot or travel, you may want to go with a larger carrier.

Just my opinion.

I'm Verizon's bitch.

Been with them for over 10 years.

"If I can see the sky, I can get a signal."

You should come to my house...15 miles up a canyon road in the Denver Metro area and nobody gets reception! The kids don't like it, but it sure is peaceful there.

I have been with Sprint for 13 years. I have never had any issues with service...but I hate it when I have to change anything in my plan because they normally screw up something else at the same time. I once spent a total of 4 hours over a six week period to get them to fix a billing issue. I was ready to kill someone! The only reason I stayed with them is because they gave me free unlimited data for life on my phone. I guess that it what happens when a problem escalates up to the Customer Retention Department!

yuck sprint is horrible. Not only is there reception bad but then there customer service is bad and they will call you and harass you about changing your plan after a few months or so.

I used to work for Contel Cellular that became GTE mobile that eventually became Verizon.

I used to work in the Credit Department back when you had to have your credit run to get a phone.

(We once had a $4500 monthly bill because the account holder was using the phone to call home to Pakistan. Looking back, we probably should have looked into that further.)

I have the Samsung Epic 4G and the phone is pretty fast but screw the 4G. Even in a large metro area like Balto-Wash it's spotty, at best. Furthermore, the 4G doesn't work when trying to download from the marketplace. It costs an extra $10/month, too. The phone can act as a mini modem to connect other devices, such as a laptop but Sprint wants an extra $40/month to enable that feature. In my experience, Verizon has the best coverage in my area.

You still do to get the good phones. I know you can't get my phone with prepaid (Boost)

I've had sprint for a while and have no problems with them. Coverage is good where I normally am, and it will Roam on VZ if it can't find a Sprint single. I got an evo the Day it came out, and still really like it..

I have Sprint. The service in and around Chicago is awesome. The Customer Service is much better than it used to be (Although it used to be awful) and I use a blackberry which i like just fine.

I'm 100% happy with Sprint. They gave me my last upgrade a couple months before I was eligible. They've added a couple of nice features to my plan in the past two years without adding a penny to my bill. Customer service has been quick to respond and very helpful any time I need something.

As others have said, the network coverage isn't up to par with some other carriers but I travel all over the midwest regularly and have no complaints.

edit: Sprint had better get the Blackberry Torch soon. I'm elegibile for my next upgrade in January and although the Evo 4G looks nice, I'd prefer sticking with a Blackberry.

I've had Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon.

Of all of those companies, I have been happiest with Verizon.

I was least happy with AT&T. Sprint a close second.

I have sprint w/an Evo G4. Besides the battery life on the phone is terribad, I have no complaints.
