for years I wasnt allowed to see many of my friends because the wives thought I was a bad influence with my come and go girlfriends, motorcycles, vacations, and non kid attitude..... one by one they are all getting divorced and we are almost back to our full crew from highschool.

After years of 'When are you going to settle down and get married have kids' I get to return the favor and chide 'I told you so'

The finger comes off before a ring goes on.

How did that guy end up producing children?

Wouldn't that require a woman?

Some idiot promoted the idea that it was a bad thing to beat unruly children.

I watch the nephew occasionally, that is parental enough for me.

One day he was getting unruly, he was being sassy and disrespectful, so I told him what my step creep used to do to me when I acted that way, showed him the scars from it. .... "You wouldnt do that to me, I'm only 9, its not fair"... Kid I got these when I was six, life aint ever fair."

he straightened right the F*ck up.

I got spanked by administrators in front of the whole school in kindergarten and 1st grade. When we moved to Long Beach I found out fast that the new school didn't do that. They sent home notes to be signed and made phone calls.....

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.....

I RAN things from that point forward.

I got the paddle with the holes in it.

The last thing I wanted was another dose of that.

Today's kids are spoiled bitches and act accordingly.

"Hey, get off my lawn!"

I cant believe all the metal that I used to listen to in Jr High and High School has been hijacked by suburbia and domesticated. Knock it off already

When I was that kids age, if I would have done that, I WOULD have had a lump on the side of my head!
The other day, my 18 month old clipped the seat strap in the shopping cart on his own, and started clapping. We thought it was cute, so we clapped with him. The woman next to us, in her 40s or 50s, rolled her eyes and said, "Ooooh gawd!". It took all I had to not get nose to nose with her and tell her to F herself. After we walked away, Mama looked at me and said "Thanks for being nice".
Funny thing. Since the kid came along, I tend to be much more forward with my opinion when someone throws a negative comment my way. I suppose thats "dad life". Sure is fun.

dont get me wrong, have all the kids you want, it just aint for me. Snipped and tucked at 18. I didnt like being a kid, I dont like being around kids, and I NEVER intended to be a parent.

When I was 5 I told my mom that when I grow up I wanted to be a Spatula.
She asked why .... I said because I dont ever want to get married and hafta have kids.
She informed me that it was a Bachelor, not a spatula.

Sometimes the ideas of youth last a life time ; )

Gunut, you were sharing a fun moment with your kid, and I'm sort of shocked that somebody would be annoyed with that. Kids make all sorts of weird noises when they're happy, and when I see people rolling their eyes at it, I just think how unhappy they are... sad pathetic lonely people.

Gunut's story reminds me of the time my ex and her sister, my first born about a year old, and I had just sat down for lunch at a restaurant.

The hostess was seating a pair of old ladies in the booth next to us when one of them said "We don't want to sit next to the baby." As the old bats were moving my ex turned to her and loudly responded "Well the baby doesn't want to sit next to you!"

Speaking her mind was something she was always good at.

In a supermarket in England just getting the last minute stuff before heading off to the ferry back to France. Our boy is about 6 & starts getting lippy with his mum about something & got a light clout for his pains.
Mrs Doogooder standing nearby huffs up & wags a finger saying "You can't do that to that poor child." my darling replies with a mouthful of French, Doogooder looks at me & I translate with a smile, "She says, Do you want one too?"

With that we left the woman, mouth wide open like a goldfish, & headed to the checkout.

Xbimmer, had the same thing happen here in France but the couple had a small dog with them, & were informed by Madame in no uncertain terms of her opinions on dogs in restaurants.
