I would wear it  I wear an armor vest and forearm/elbow armor under a t-shirt on hot days and love it, but I need to take it easy because its still not leather. its more comfortable everything stays in place, even in a crash (ask me how I know) and I feel like I have less restriction of movement this way. the hard plastic take abrasion incredibly well and doesn't bite into the pavement inducing a tumble. that piece will also cover the shoulders, something that my armor doesn't do. I make a good squid impersonator covering all my gear that way too LOL | ||

lions yes it does but looks cooler to me at least. i am seriously thinking about it. looks fairly crash worthy but has a cooler kinda mad max look to it too | ||

Hey Aaron.. Have you ever ran across some small knee guards? I would like to wear them to be more comfortable in corners, but i don't want them huge like most.. Just wondering, i know you wear them! | ||

Looks like the body armor that they wear in down hill mountain biking. Dainese makes some great stuff in that area. You can find anything from simple elbow or knee pads up to complete suits that protect shoulders, spine, elbows, forearms, hips, tailbone, knees and shins all in one suit. Flexibility and ventilation is great on the Dainese stuff. The all in one type of suit really helps to keep the pads where they need to be in a crash. I've had too many knee/shin pads just shift off my knee after the initial hit. It's still far better than not wearing anything though. | ||

You can pick some of these up on ebay for fifty bucks. It may not be the name brand but that way you could try it out and see if you like it. I plan on buying one for next summer to replace my Vanson mesh. The only downside is that the bugs might be more likely to stain your shirt if they make it through the mesh material. There are a couple of companies making this type of armor to go under your regular non-armored clothes. Armor=good and the CE rated stuff is better than most non rated stuff. I have armor built into my jacket and pants and wear both parts for most trips (need to get insulated gloves though 'cause it's getting cold again). | ||

yeah i have an armored gx air jacket from tourmaster and a set of pants that are mesh with hip knee and shin armor as well but they both are getting tired and worn. plus the jacket doesnt really fit right for sport riding | ||

yes I have and yes I do! I am going to sell my small ones because I have found that I like the large more (I think I had the smaller stuff on at HC) for the most part I stick to Knox stuff, but they dont have a chest and back protector that is one piece so I had to go icon for that one (icon isn't CE but did well in my wreck) small stuff, it goes for about $70 you can have mine for 45 shipped if you want Ian Knox cross lite guards  this is what I opt for, it was my first armor purchase and I have gone back to it from the cross lite, it just feels safer, blocks out header heat and saved my knees and legs in my crash. Knox cross max guards about 100  either pair are CE level 1 | ||

the 'holder' of those jackets on ebay look a little weak and i am concerned as well about the armor shifting guess i'll have to spring for one and see how i like it |
