For those that are interested, the film crew that is making this book into a movie filmed for about two weeks in the Canon City/Pueblo area last week. Cannot wait to see it.

Well hells bells, when did you move to Penrose? I live in Canon but didn't see any filming going on. I wonder what backdrop they needed this area for? Prisons? Rock?

Hey, some of the best movies I've ever seen had no actors I've recognized. The world is still obsessed with thinking collectivism is good, and maybe there isn't anyone in Hollywood with the stones to ante up and be John Galt.

I'd say that no recognized "names" will mean the producers will be able to keep to the original more. Rather than have to pander to some "star's" bloated ego.

It's damn sure hard to imagine anything remotely resembling the book coming out of mainstream Hollywood, unless Oliver Stone was to re-do it to expose the evil Republican conspiracy.

Here is how Stone would cast AS:

John Galt/Sean Penn.
Dagny Taggart/Julia Roberts.
Ragnar Danneskjöld/Danny de Vito.
Francisco d'Anconia /Verne Troyer.
Wesley Mouch/Brad Pitt.
Henry Reardon/Jon Voight.
Lillian Reardon/Angelina Jolie.

Yeah & at least 5000 people would get shot/stabbed/blown up, while Danny De V cracked wise & Julia burst into tears.

I moved back in mid july right before the cross country ride that started with a trip to the GP, but unfortunately my bike broke down in Flagstaff, stator issue and I missed the GP by about an hour, so we watched it at a cafe on the PCH. Anyway, I was going out to Pueblo the other day to pick up a brake lever for the CB900F I restored and sold and I heard it on the radio, I didn't see anyone filming either but apparently they did. Maybe prison's are exactly the backdrop they needed, there are plenty here....
