I just installed it a few weeks ago on safari and I must say it works really well, almost too well as all the sponsor banners on bad web have even disappeared and if I go to the sponsor section of here all there are is 3 periods were the banners would be to click on there individual boards. Most other sites besides this one it is great though because you do not have to hear those dumb advertisements like the stupid smiley that says no-way or anything like that.

I use Firefox with AdBlock and NoScript, and I LOVE IT! I never noticed the sponsor section having no banners until now, but it is where the banners are, the ones that don't show are in the "http://badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/ads/" folder, and AdBlock sees that and blocks the images. The webmaster should put all of the banner ads in the "http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/banners/" folder, like the Hal's banners. As I understand it, this board is kept alive by the sponsors, and the banners aren't just there for profit.

yea I have always liked the banners here as they are things I would actually click on, they are not annoying nor in the way of anything and to top it off they are safe places to go.

I use Opera browser and it has a built in blocker, but you have to manually add sites to it. (Simple as right clicking on the banner and picking the block option). I have only used it on those annoying talking banners, as sites need the advertising revenue to survive, especially with the massive amount of bandwidth needed to share videos and other content.

If you use Safari, you might also look into ClickToFlash. It blocks all flash unless you whitelist it, or you can let flash run on a case-by-case basis. It works quite well.

If you want to see the banners here, just enter badweatherbikers.com into the exception list of the banner blocker. : )
