so i've been thinkin i might as well take advantage of having netflix, and find myself a program that allows me to burn copyrighted DVD's. do any of you know a program i could download (for free hopefully) that will let me burn copyrighted DVD's?... | ||

I've used DVD Shrink (free) but it won't work just right if you don't have a full copy of Nero on your PC. Sorry, I don't remember all the details of how it works.. it's been a long time since I burned DVD's. Netflix instant streaming via Xbox makes DVD burning obsolete for me. | ||

i would just stream it, but dial up internet is my limiting factor.... i did find shrink, and got it, but i do not have nero.... | ||

yea im basically amish.... no really the only way we can get high speed at my place is with either dish or those air card things through the phone companies (which are kind of sketchy at my place we've tried them) and satellite is just to expensive for us right now, so we got good ol' dial up still and i have about 7 tv channels.....but i dont care about that so much i dont watch to much tv... | ||

Iman501 sounds like you live in an ideal area, im hoping some day i'll be able to live in a place like that again! here a week or so ago the power went out and our neighbor freaked out because her air conditioner wasnt running, and she was trying to get her husband to run an extention cord to the car through an inverter so she could have the AC, my wife, daughter and i all laughed and just broke out the camping lantern and played cards for a little while and 2 hrs later the power was back on! some people are just crazy! | ||

Haha not by the least!, i dont live in the sticks or anything, i have a bunch of neighbors but there is a corn field across the street, and some woods down the street, the phone compainies and everybody just hasent run a line for high speed internet to my area..., and i live in central illinois, so there are no good roads to speak of near me! | ||

ha ha ha that is funny about the ac. and that sucks that there are still areas in this country that still don't have modern internet. but if I lived in one of those places I would have the dial up kicking too because satellite internet is not much better (at least it wasn't in afghanistan any way) | ||

I've had good luck with DVD43 (decryption software - it reads the DVD in your player and picks a decryption key) and ImgBurn to burn to a writable disc. | ||

ok, guys, so i downloaded both mac the ripper and toast, along with handbrake and isquint. so my question is how do i make these work?.... like i cant figure it out haha i have startrek with me and a blank DVD that i want to burn the movie onto. | ||

wait....is the toast program something i have to pay for?....b/c if it is i dont care that much about copying dvd's lol.... i downloaded it, but its asking for a code or something thats on the packaging it came with or email i got....and i dont have either.... | ||

so im sitting at school trying to figure out how to put windows on my mac with bootcamp (following the directions on the internet, and watching youtube video's), but i'm starting to think that the windows XP disk my dad gave me is no good. its just a copy of windows that he got from work, and i'm wondering if that may not be working right, because i've divided my hard drive, and go to load windows, and it says that the disk isn't being recognized and tells me to wait a few seconds, and try again. my dad used the copy of widows a few years back to upgrade his old desktop from the old version of widows to XP, but my mac doesnt want to use it to load windows any ideas?.... |
