Just viewed the results from the range and I am impressed by the quality of the video and even the sound. What a great camera! We turned it facing the user on full auto and got a perspective seldom seen with the casing in a steady stream from the ejection port. Back to work.... |

I used a helmet camera in Afghanistan that took some VERY good shots in fire fights. While you couldn't see what I was aiming at directly, you could see the ejection port and brass spilling out. The camera would give just enough clarity so that you could make out shapes, running, falling and also the muzzle flashes of return fire. Pretty cool stuff. I have this same camera and I like it. What mount did you use to get it on the rails? |

No you can't co-witness with the camera. It is mounted well off side to the EoTech. The video is like a what you see in an earlier video game perspective where you see only the front of the barrel and front sight, but not through the front sight of course. I'd like to see a stealth clear being done with this set up! With the Hero there is almost always enough lighting. |

I just picked up one of these in 40 S&W. Now I'm adding a few goodies ;+} Waaay fun and more accurate than my eyes at 50 yds. I'm going to add a red-dot scope of some kind. Later |

Ive got the XPS eotech and love it. Small and built like a tank. Takes one cr123 battery. (Message edited by johnnymceldoo on September 22, 2010) |

Budgolf - Give the Aimpoint a look. Robust, easy to adjust, (even with gloves) great mount and battery life (I've heard 8 years!!!) It's a little larger than the Eotech and the EoTech may be a little easier to acquire target but that is probably more subjective. YMMV The Aimpoint has a very good record of not failing here . It has an available honeycomb frontpiece to reduce front signature, that may be an important consideration in your line of work. Just a thought. |

Aimpoint makes a micro reddot that's pretty small. Kind of pricey but it can run continuous for like 5 years. |

I have been a die hard iron sight type of guy and then I played with an eotech in Korea and I thought they were really great... I still feel more acurate with hard sights but those seem great for real world pick up and shoot situations. |

FIREBOLT - As I have gotten older and my vision has waned somewhat, I have found the EoTech or Aimpoint are easier to acquire a target than the good old iron sights. Back in the day however..... yea I enjoyed the iron. |
