Rode the Kawi. Fast Fast Fast and handling sharp as tack. I liked it anyways. |

CR would dominate. But it's gone. Except in the hands of the lucky few. What would be most fun would be to run into these other bikes at a track day. Or on the street... |

The Z1000 may be a contender for me in the next go round |

How's the z1000 feel in terms of rider position and comfort? |

To me much more comfortable. I got to ride a brand new one just a couple weeks ago. Ridden the CR. Nice but the Cow was just nicer. |

I'm excluding the XR from the conversation. I like it - but it's 50 horsepower off the others. Different class of bike. Speed triple - Moto Morini Corsaro and CB1000R would be on my comparison list too. Having tested all of 'em, I wouldn't say the CR would 'dominate' - but it would do quite well. The CR is the most 'primal'. Of the remainder still trading; dealer support, parts and price would be the deciding factors. I like all of the vehicles pretty much equally. All of them made me happy riding in different ways. |

Of the three? Z1000 in not a walk, but a run! Next the XR. The MV is not enough for it's price tag. |

I'm still waiting to see a new XR1200X at a dealer. I feel it has real potential to be a great sportbike with a few modifications. I won't comment anymore on one until I see and test ride it. |

I'm a big fan of the Z1k myself... The one I own now puts my old XB to shame... Don't get me wrong, I loved my XB12R but she just had waaaaaay too many issues. In the end, even without all the XB's gremlins I have to say the Z1k is probably the best all-around bike I've had. And it cost me less than half what the Buell did.

I think it was Superbike mag that ran like a 7 or 9 bike naked bike shootout that included the CR along with the Speed Triple, Tuono, 1100 Monster , Super Duke, Moto morini and a few others. They all praised it on the spec sheet but panned the bike as being ugly and not belonging is the group. Near the middle of the article was a chart on every test result they put the bikes through. I think the lowest the CR scored was a fifth and it was consistently in the top three. I took the results awarding a point value equal to the placement value (1st place -1 point ) totals the results then divided by the amount of test for the average and the CR came in second by my standard with an average around 2.84 . the winning bike was like a 2.57 if I remember correctly. They say numbers don't lie, but they raved all over the 1100 monster with only 78 hp and usual;ly finishing dead last in all tests. If I find the article I will try and post up the findings |

The Z1k looks like some one put XB head lights on a UJM of the 80s (Universal Japanese Motorcycle) I like the zx14 but the Z1k its as bad as Harleys new sporty |

>>panned the bike as being ugly and not belonging is the group<< Very professional - letting personal preference interfere with objectivity. |
