What caliber is best for tire changes? Looks like 9mm. I've been wanting to try this method. Changed the rear yesterday morning but I did it with tire levers (and no pistol). |

What caliber is best for tire changes? Looks like 9mm. On an American motorcycle .45 caliber works best. |

yep, innocent kids are sometimes funnier than my smart-ass freinds it's a glock 27 .40 cal i've only un-holstered it once and that was to convince a drunk kid to keep it moving. he was walking down my street from the bar (just up teh street) and after he walked away i called the PD and got to see him get cuffed just down the block i used a rag soaked in dish soap/water. it prolly was hard to see cuz it evaporated quickly cuz the tire was hot from sitting in teh sun. ... usually i don't need any supplemental lube. -that's what she said?- but ... but ... chasing my ass is half the fun of doing tasks with the wrong/improper tools/equipment and as you all can see from teh pic above shorts and flip flops is standard motorcycle tire changing aparell, especially on the imports. |

Sitting the tire in the sun probably did more for you than the zip ties. I've had to change tires in the winter and it's awful. We end up putting them under a welding blanket with a space heater to get them hot enough to be pliable. |

Ruglyde from Napa REALLY makes changing tire much easier. I highly recommend picking up a jug. I finally had a chance to use my new tire bar on my HF unit. What a difference! |

Thanks Brad, I'll get some. We mounted a bracket to put the HF unit into the trailer mount on my neighbors F150. Works well, getting that sucker to stay in the ground was tricky. |

That doesn't look like how it was described in the first posting - shouldn't the beads be pulled together, fitted in together, then released? EZ |

QUOTE "If I can get the 07 Lightning owner(hodakaharold) to post he will verify his new PP 2CT literally fell on the rim with one push an one shove." I have to say, it was the slickest thing I ever saw. Just lube and push it on the rim , then remove the ties. It took James about 2 seconds to get the tire on the rim. |
