B1-B.

I can't get one of those here.

Kidding aside, there's a whole load of things that you guys have that I can't get, IBC Root Beer, Taurus Judge, Mossberg JIC, to name a few.

But I do feel sorry for you in the automotive field as we have lots of superb vehicles that you will sadly never see until they're over 25 years old.

I drive one myself, Ford Focus C-Max mini mpv with a 1.6 tdci motor from Peugeot. Cruise in comfort all day at 90mph & still get mid 40s mileage. Handles well too.

Then there's all the Alfa's & Lancia's & Citroen's etc that you're missing out on.

Blame California.

At least Fiat will be making an appearance over here again, though we'll see if we ever get anything aside from the standard 500.

The funny thing is all these brands used to sell over here, but have all left - maybe it was California, maybe it was lack of demand, but I think people are starting to really get on board with the European model for personal transport - small cars have been selling more and more, and over here in the U.S., small car generally means cheap and boring (though it's getting better) - not so in Europe. I don't think I'd have the lust so bad if we were able to get some of the manufacturers that are already here to offer small car variants that are as stylish and sporty as they are over seas. The Focus RS is a prime example - ours looks and handles like ass, but in Europe, from what I can tell, it's a fine car and the RS and other high perf variants are totally kick ass.

Why is there not as many diesel cars in the US as there is in Europe? I ask because I noticed that there are are several models there that have diesel versions that are gas only here in the states.

Firebolt - excellent question, and it all comes down to two things:

1 - emissions. Diesels are cleaner than they've ever been, but most still don't meet certain limits here in the states and it's not cost effective for the Europeans to try and update them just for us, because...

2 - Americans don't care about diesel, which is silly. Haven't you heard? Hybrids are the answer.

Silly hippies.

Just curious because we had a lot of euro spec cars that we used in Afghanistan like ford rangers, toyota land crusers and such that you can buy in the states but they were diesels yet in the states you can only buy them as gas versions.

why do they HATE us? Let us buy the f'n toys we want and we will turn the economy around. uptight F-tards.

Looks like I need to get stationed in Europe for two years, that lil Fiat reminds me of the Shelby Turbo Colt with power stick that we drove the hell out of in highschool. sooooo much fun.
that 'back seat' gotta go, dead weight.

as nice as the "mini clubman" is and pretty fun to drive i might ad, i think it would be a heck of alot better had we been able to get it with the diesel that is or will be available soon from what i understand. i think they shoulc put an electric fence around california like they should around miami. let them be their own little country to screw up.

Back to bikes, looks like the Yamaha Super Tenere is slated for deliveries in the US starting in May 2011. Good news I think, but the Multistrada 1200 really has my attention...
