{{{{There is not a bike made that doesn't have
problems, all problems can be fixed by the right tech whom ever that may be. Sell the Buell and take a beating and by something else and suffer the depreciation again.
Good luck.
}}}}

Now heres a bone headed response. I think Rocco can wrench with the best of them so no need to start making comments about the right tech..... not to mention we have some of the best tech's in the country in our area. And how do you know he'll take a bath on it??? Do you know what he has in it??? No you don't so keep your comments to yourself. Wanna see someone take a bath??? Sell that Ninja 250 in your profile.... sorry you already did if you bought it new. Besides when you buy a sportbike don't go into it like your going to recoupe on your purchase. Because your not. You bought it because you like it and nothing else matters.

Actually in my area, Ninja 250's hold their value as well as anything out there. That being said, if you're choosing what bike to buy based on resale value, you're misguided. Like BadS1 said, buy the bike you want because you want it. These are toys, not stock options or mutual funds.

I would have to say ninja 250s hold its value better than a lot of bikes I have seen.

Erik has already stated that the side mount rads were HD doing. God know what else they made him change

thats definately how i feel about it,
most stuff on my old bike that gives issues is HD,

Rocco, sorry to hear the issues with the '25 I do the kill switch and key
also I dont touch the throttle till warm.
(OT) havent seen the dead battery thing yet, I had had a number of low battery warnings after prolonged sitting,

MY next bike ( a few years off yet,) will be a suzuki bandit, if I can find one that has not had the hell beat out of it.
GTO, and valve adjustments every so often.

I would have to say ninja 250s

I said that because before I did I looked on ebay and most are selling for 1/2 of new or less and they are a year old. Just like the Blast they tank in resale.

I blew my motor on my 2004 XB12R at the 10K mark. Rebuilt the motor and replaced the crank. Then shipped it to Spain, sold! I reverted back to Tubers. Love em and bullet proof!

I guess I'm lucky. My Blast has been trouble-free for 12,000 miles despite being a Riders Edge reject.

I understand, though. My old Sporty gave me trouble at least once a year and stranded me several times. My old Gold Wing did, too, mostly because it was 23 years old and the previous owner made his own mods to it.

I felt the same way as Rocket when my almost new 08 XT was at the dealer for the third time trying to resolve a bad running issue. I would have sold it right there and then if I had an offer. Fortunately they found an intermittent bad ECM. Once replaced, the bike has run great for 20K miles. Currently, I would not think of another bike.

Hopefully Rocket can get the issues resolved and feel great about the bike again.

We have all been there at one time or another.

Rocco, sorry to hear about your problems with the 1125R. Your bike was the first one I saw with the lowers on and I felt then that should have been stock on that bike since it looked so great. I kinda have the same feelings about the 1125 Rotax motors myself, fast and powerful engines but I just never felt that they were a good solid engine for the long haul.

I can certainly see why your unhappy with your motorcycle because of the problems because when someone wants to go and ride and having problems that prevent that, it's frustrating. I've had good luck (knock on wood) with my Uly, but if it started causing problems which kept me from riding it, I would be parting ways with it too. Nothing more frustrating than having a motorcycle that you can't ride.

I hope everything works out for you!

And once again, THANKS for the great job you and Dana did on this year's Buell Homecoming. It was the best one I ever attended!
