I'll start with the One I just made (yum):

1 pattie of 96/4 ground beef
2 slices fat free cheddar
2 slices whole grain wheat bread
1 teaspoon mustard

Add veggies if you like- I didn't have any to add

Without veggies, it weighs in...

44 grams protein
430 calories
6 grams of fat

since refried beans are so laden in fat and so bad for ya.... but I love my mexican.

A green alternative.
1 cup green peas
2 cans whole chic peas
6 oz of chicken broth
put in a crock pot, fill with water an inch over the top of the water, walk away.
6 hours later, run a hand mixer through the slury, let stand for 1/2 hour. it will serve up with the consistence and substance of refried beans, use it as a supbstitute in tacos, burritos, etc.

I will get the calories next time, but you will notice that you are not groggy after the meal.
enjoy

That sounds really good! I'm definitely gonna have to add a crackpot to my list of things to get when I move into my new apt. on the 1st. I love Mexican food as well, and I work at an upscale Mexican food restaurant, so it's hard to stay on a proper diet. So far so good though...
