Pwnzor,Busa has the advantage in that they had at least a year unrestricted, everyone that chased them got to be electronically limited limited to 186.Have you ridden one?
And the Busa guys have hacked the stock ecu and I have software and comunication cable to go in and turn off that limiter, very cool.

What is that formula??? Resistance increases as the square of the speed??? After a point, aero is more important than power. Nobody understands that better than the salt flats guys...or maybe the 125 GP guys... : )

Yes, I've ridden a few Hayabusas... they are fast.

The ZX-14 is faster according to my butt-dyno. Not to mention about 10x more comfortable...

But neither of them is the fastest production street bike.

I went back and read the article some more, the bikes don't actually seem to be in any particular order. The fact that they even mention that turbine bike as if it were a production model is a complete joke. Whoever wrote that piece is somebody who just doesn't really know squat about bikes.

It's sickening to see them refer to the 1125 as having a Harley motor in it... what morons.

when I've been to the drag strip when the motorcycles run, NOTHING even comes close to the Busa that isn't burning nitro in them! The last time I went to see the motorcycles run, I saw a Busa run 4 times and the slowest was 160 mph 1/4 mile standing start.

It's all a bit blah blah blah these days anyway isn't it.

This was a worthwhile argument when bikes maxed at 110mph - it was 'achievable' and meant a bit of a butt kicking if you got caught.

Now I suspect in a lot of the world you can be arrested and have the bike impounded - or even destroyed - for operating any of them at max capability - in third gear.

Possible Custodial sentence for really pinning it on the road if your record is bad enough.

seems to me the "worlds fastest production motorcycle" depends on when, and on who you ask.
