just a friendly reminder to check your oil pump gear. Here is mine, I doubt it had many more miles left on it

On another note: this is what one of the lifters looked like when I pulled it out. Looks like it got hot or had a lack of lubrication





I have decided to do a complete tear down to the frame and repaint and clean up everything. It's almost to hot to ride in houston anyways. should be done in a few months.

this gear had (to the best of my knowledge) around 30k on it.

that has to be the most expensive stand for Buell body work i've ever seen....... love the white!

I know this isn't the same model as yours but the pic of the buell parts made me think of it.

Looks like some of the teeth are at least 50% gone, but I'll bet you wouldn't have gotten another 10k miles out of it. Hopefully the improved drive gear will continue to be available in the future as it fits Sportys as well.

Speaking of which- has anybody done a check on an 06-07 XB or other Buell that's been refitted with the new gear to see how it's holding up?
