As expected - not as bad as the photos.

Still quite some proboscis on the beast. BMW ADV sort of feel to it.

There was a show on this weekend and I went for a walk with the handy cam on a break.

I read a really good write up on this bike - I don't know if it's be worth the price of admission for me, but I can see it being worth it for others. Seems like a very capable "jack of all trades" machine.

The MS Looks like some sort of parasitic insect or something. I'll keep my ole 12X for now.

Did you see the red triumph speed triple.

To me that is the logical replacement for most Buells. The S3 doesn't corner as well, but has a better engine and shares the same 'spirit'.

The Tiger is about the best XB12X replacement for mine.

I demo'd umphs at a local event, the speed triple was my fave, but it was like somebody took all the raw elements of Buell and made them behave. What they called 'sophisticated and refined' I found tame and mundane. Good quality, just didnt have the punch that I was looking for.

Now that scrambler is right up my dirt alley though... bagged and green, nice putt ready for abuse.

I reckon not when you get used to it - it's got similar enough weight and 25 more horses - and doesn't run out of breath before using all of them.

They are delivered from as low down in the rev range as a big vee twin too.

All it really lacks is the vibration- the bam is all there.

I agree with Dave, you just need to remember you have alot more rpm available. I drove my first Triumph like my Buells for awhile til I was schooled by Boggy G and his wife Deb!!
