Who's gonna come up with a exhaust pipe like a rifle or electric so when you dont want to be heard all you have to do is hit a button or pull the bolt to silence the baffle? Is this a great Idea? All I need is 10% of the yearly income .

I've seen it on home made custom pipes but never on a production pipe. Similar to the pic Sifo posted.

I've seen it done on an XB12 to rewire the stock exhaust servo to open and close on demand.

"Dumper Valve." I remember someone selling a unit such as described for the 1500 GoldWing back in the 90s.

If you make a switch that disconnects the white wire to the exhaust servo from the ECM and grounds the servo side of the white wire the valve opens for as long as it is grounded and the ECM is disconnected. Closes when the wires are switched back. The engine light will come on after 5 seconds of this, and will go back off 5 seconds after returning to the OEM circuitry.

Someone else on here did it with a momentary switch and a solenoid switch. I cheated and used a switch that can take three wires and hook number 1 wire to either number 2 or 3 wire but not both at the same time. The white wire you are looking for is under the air box cover and comes from the exhaust servo. I don't think I took any good pics of it when I did it. I use shrink wrap after soldering everything up.

#1 wire is the white wire from the servo.
#2 wire is the white wire to the ECM.
#3 wire is the ground.

note: do not ground the wire from the ECM
note: I cut the white wire to the servo and that is where you get #1 and #2 white wires
note: do not mess with the wires at the ECM

Hoooooly SH1T! I like it! I'm thinking an emulator, and a manual type switch. Or turn it off with spy. I would like to hear it at HC. Cool stuff!
