Anyone care to guess what the original opening lyrics to Iron Butterfly's song "In-A-GADDA-DA-VIDA' were?

By the way, if the drummer in Hughlysses original post was a punk rocker instead of a guy in a gold sequin jacket most people would think his actions were "normal".

It's already been said. Neil is the best drummer to ever play. Hands down.

Of course, me being a bass player, I have a special appreciation for drummers. Us folks in the rhythm section have to stick together.

+1 to that. The "meat & potatoes" of the band.

Here's Zakir Hussain with his dad Allah Rakha Kahn.
Allah Rakha Kahn (tabla) played at Woodstock and the Montery Jaz Festival with Ravi Shankar (sitar).

I don't know if he'd even be in my top 5. He's a great drummer don't get me wrong but man are there some really great drummers out there. Carter Beauford and Joey Jordison are two current drummers that, in my opinion, are better than Neil.

I think putting a title like "Best Drummer" is absolutely impossible. There's just too many different styles and types of music out there to do that.

On a side note, Check out the Alex Skolnick Trio. Cool stuff!
