Wow - You know, I guess I never realized how old he was, but looking through those pictures he aged a LOT over the last couple years - must have been tough bout.

Easy Rider will always be a good watch.

if there is a Valhalla where you get to ride eternally, pilage endlessly, and spend the remainder of your existence in self indulgent excess; I hope he finds it.

'Billy' had a serious effect on my 16 year old view of the world.

When I think of Dennis Hopper, I think of the scene with Christopher Walkin in True Romance. Great actor, RIP.

Had the pleasure of meeting him when we used to do the 'celebrity escort' for the Love Ride here in L.A. (NO - not THAT kind of escort)
He hadn't ridden a bike in years, and was a bit out of his element on the H-D supplied Fatboy he was on. I helped him get it positioned and parked, shut off, etc. and got to talk to him briefly. He asked if he should just follow 'Pete' on the ride to the lake, but I told him to stick with Leno, 'cause Fonda rides like a maniac.
Peter was standing behind me and agreed that maybe that would be best.
He was enjoying himself, despite the difficulty with riding he was experiencing, and was talking and joking with the other celebs and fans that wanted his autograph. He was amazed at some of the original Easyrider posters and items that people wanted signed, and ge gladly did so.

You couldn't help but like the guy.

He's a one of a kind and will be missed.

Yep, he'll be sadly missed, a very accomplished man in many fields, his photography was outstanding too.

His friend Miles Davis wrote this for him.

From Kathleen,
Thought I would share this with you. They both, greatly, enriched all of our lives...and still continue to do so.

Sorry to see both of them gone...

THS channel is doing tribute movies of his career now. Just watched Blue Velvet again, strange bunch of thinking went into writing that one.

Blood Red just came on, never saw that one before.....very young Julia Roberts in there.
