I'd get a scooter too, but only if the test vehicles I drive were taken away.

The Uly would protest a 5 mile, round trip, commute to work.

Scooters rock. I use one to demonstrate that I'm secure in my masculinity.

Seriously.

This is the one I'm in lust with... 2010 Genuine Blur SS 220i, fuel injected 220cc, ~75 mph and 79mpg. And they just happen to sell them at the Harley dealer that offered my MSF course.

Apparently if you add "SS" to the name of I bike, I can't resist it.

(minus the windshield, of course... don't like scooters with windshields)

Considering I'm about $4k short, and wouldn't have a place to put it, AND my wife would probably divorce me, I doubt I'll be getting one anytime soon.

Sad!

Honestly, I don't really like the look of that one. I've seen a few that I could consider, but not that one.

I wonder how long it will cruise at 75 before the rings weld to the cylinders like all good two strokes eventually do?

If I could find a classic like the GS above I might consider it, though not sure where I would find the extra power for all the lights, need one hell of a generator!

I like small capacity bikes occasionally. Tested a Korean Daelim 250 yesterday and had great fun on it. Was actually pretty impressed by the build quality and all the fruit it had for a very cheap price.

Or you could get a Blast. 85mpg, just about 100mph top speed, plenty of torque, and better brakes and handling than a scoot

I'm liking the Ruckus, 'specially if it looked like this

The "rig" that's carrying it... eh

I'm diggin the Madass. We have a dealer here in Kalamazoo and I was window shopping there a couple of weeks ago (it was a Sunday and they were closed). They had a new Madass in the front window with a sale price of $1899. So tempting.

Greg, the SS 220i is a 4 stroke.

I don't like the look of the Blast. It would take a LOT of work to make it look the way I'd want. And it costs more. AND it's a motorcycle, which I already own.

I like the Blur because it has the crazy overly-styled Japanese animation look to it... a great contrast to my retro-modded Lightning.

I also like the Madass, but the only thing that makes it "scooterish" at all is the displacement. The entire layout is that of a motorcycle. I actually contacted my closest dealer about a Madass once, and he pretty much refused to sell it to me. Said the built quality sucked, and really recommended a Ninja 250 if I was looking for a small bike. It's also too small an engine. I need something that'll reach 65mph so I can hit the highway if I want to... most of my commuting is long distance.

Because at one time they reportedly had cheese frames - but mostly that bad rap came from copies.

the genuine blur is great scoot. I want one too.

You on moderenbuddy?

I currently have about 12k miles on Genuine buddy 125.

Scoot are like fat chicks. They are fun to ride, but you don't want your buddies to see yo doing it.
