I am all for the law. Also the prison idea is awesome, The warden is a hard ass. I have seen a tv special about his jail and i like what he has done.

Everyone thought the minute men in California was an excuse to chase around illegals and now it is a real job and they are paid to round em up!

The Left HATES Sheriff Joe.

I've driven by the Maricopa detention center and it can get HOT out there wearing pretty pink panties. I would seriously consider not getting caught if I was a criminal or I would consider leaving Maricopa county entirely knowing there are guys like Sheriff Joe..

If more states had guys like Sheriff Joe, there would be more money available in the budget for education.

It sounds like most Badwebbers are getting it. The Arizona immigration law is neither discriminatory nor allows for racial profiling. Once again, the Left has become apoplectic and has caused divisiveness that weakens our nation.

As a recent refugee, I.E I moved from Phoenix a yr ago, Ive been watching this with great intrest. For those that have not been able to walk down the street because there are so many "day laborers" well go live it then comment.

The left is so wrong on this its not funny. Shortly after this started, I saw some talking head say how the law said "that if you are mexican they can stop you" It says no such thing.

and the whole thing about this actually our land, well you lost it in a war, get over it. it happened before your lifetime so so sorry.

Just passing this on..........

ORANGE COUNTY ( CALIFORNIA ) NEWSPAPER - New Immigrants
This is a very good letter to the editor. This woman made some good points..
For some reason, people have difficulty structuring their arguments when arguing against supporting the currently proposed immigration revisions. This lady made the argument pretty simple. It was NOT printed in the Orange County Paper...................

Newspapers simply won't publish letters to the editor which they either deem politically incorrect (read below) or which does not agree with the philosophy they're pushing on the public. This woman wrote a great letter to the editor that should have been published; but, with your help it will get published via cyberspace!

From: "David LaBonte"
My wife, Rosemary, wrote a wonderful letter to the editor of the OC Register which, of course, was not printed. So, I decided to "print" it myself by sending it out on the Internet. Pass it along if you feel so inclined. I sincerely hope this letter gets read by millions of people all across the nation!!
Here is her letter, written in response to a series of letters to the editor in the Orange County Register:

Dear Editor:
So many letter writers have based their arguments on how this land is made up of immigrants. Ernie Lujan for one, suggests we should tear down the Statue of Liberty because the people now in question aren't being treated the same as those who passed through Ellis Island and other ports of entry.

Maybe we should turn to our history books and point out to people like Mr. Lujan why today's American is not willing to accept this new kind of immigrant any longer. Back in 1900 when there was a rush from all areas of Europe to come to the United States, people had to get off a ship and stand in a long line in New York and be documented. Some would even get down on their hands and knees and kiss the ground. They made a pledge to uphold the laws and support their new country in good and bad times. They made learning English a primary rule in their new American households and some even changed their names to blend in with their new home.

They had waved good bye to their birth place to give their children a new life and did everything in their power to
help their children assimilate into one culture. Nothing was handed to them. No free lunches, no welfare, no labor laws
to protect them. All they had were the skills and craftsmanship they had brought with them to trade for a future of prosperity.

Most of their children came of age when World War II broke out. My father fought along side men whose parents had come straight over from Germany , Italy , France and Japan . None of these 1st generation Americans ever gave any thought about what country their parents had come from. They were Americans fighting Hitler, Mussolini and the Emperor of Japan . They were defending the United States of America as one people.

When we liberated France , no one in those villages were looking for the French-American or the German American or the Irish American. The people of France saw only Americans. And we carried one flag that represented one country. Not one of those immigrant sons would have thought about picking up another country's flag and waving it to represent who they were. It would have been a disgrace to their parents who had sacrificed so much to be here. These immigrants truly knew what it meant to be an American. They stirred the melting pot into one red, white and blue bowl.

And here we are with a new kind of immigrant who wants the same rights and privileges. Only they want to achieve it by playing with a different set of rules, one that includes the entitlement card and a guarantee of being faithful to their
mother country. I'm sorry, that's not what being an American is all about. I believe that the immigrants who landed on
Ellis Island in the early 1900's deserve better than that for all the toil, hard work and sacrifice in raising future
generations to create a land that has become a beacon for those legally searching for a better life. I think they
would be appalled that they are being used as an example by those waving foreign country flags.

And for that suggestion about taking down the Statue of Liberty , it happens to mean a lot to the citizens who are voting on the immigration bill. I wouldn't start talking about dismantling the United States just yet.

Rosemary LaBonte

PLEASE KEEP THIS LETTER MOVING. THE WRONG SIDE CAN PREVAIL ONLY IF THE RIGHTEOUS MAJORITY REMAINS COMPLACENT AND QUIET!! NEVER LET THIS HAPPEN!!

A little known fact that in February of 1848 when the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo was signed by both the United Mexican States and the United States of America. The northern province was annexed by the americans 15 million dollars was paid to Mexico in compensation for the territory. When drafted its constitution in 1824 Mexico declared itself The United Mexican States

So i guess the Mexicans argument that we stole their land is kind of B.S. Since we won it in a war and still paid compensation for it. 15 million in 1848 was a lot more that today

Try convincing La Raza that the American Southwest is part of the United States. Their goal is "reconquista" and they have been able to teach this claptrap in the Tucson school system until recently. The Balkanization of the United States IS the end of the United States. Maybe the power hungry Democrats will realize that their goal of getting 12-30 million "naturalized" illegal immigrant votes is the path to their own destruction. We are the UNITED States, not the balkanized DISUNITED States. I love diversity and legal immigration but America ALWAYS comes first. So strike that stupid hyphen from your ill proclaimed nationality and stand as an AMERICAN.

Janet Napalitono who is a big critic of the AZ law, just admitted that she hasn't read the bill when asked by Sen. McCain. She joins Eric Holder with her ignorance. What is with these "leaders" in the Obama administration? They know what they are doing so the only reasonable explanation is that they are trying to make the Federal government more powerful. We are in trouble if we don't throw these bums out.

I think they are truly incompetent.

Did you hear about the idiot Assistant Secretary of State, Michael Posner, who in speaking to Chinese diplomats about human rights, raised the issue of the AZ law as an example of how America violates human rights? And he bragged about doing so in a press conference, sounding very proud of himself!

quote:

QUESTION: Did the recently passed Arizona immigration law come up? And, if so, did they bring it up or did you bring it up?

ASSISTANT SECRETARY POSNER: We brought it up early and often. It was mentioned in the first session, and as a troubling trend in our society and an indication that we have to deal with issues of discrimination or potential discrimination, and that these are issues very much being debated in our own society.

These miserable idiotic fools need to be gone from America.

What possible motive explains such traitorous moronic behavior, to get the rest of the world to join in attacking AZ to help further the Obama/Progressive one-world globalized government agenda?

WTF???

The UN is criticizing the AZ law. Funny thing is that the AZ law is exactly the same as Federal law.

UN jumps on the PC bandwagon

WTF does the UN have to do with internal american affairs, Time to send the un home.

I havent read the bill but it seems to me if it mirrors the federal law, and as a state law it is legal under the constitution then the "argument" is just noise in the wind, spewed by ill informed folks.

the comment about the Democratic [ entitlement ] party rings true trying to protect their jobs...

SO

Lights out for LA?

So LA is trying to boycott AZ by not doing business with them! AZ has just responded with a letter letting them know where their electricity comes from. So you don't want to buy AZ products? That includes your electric power, riiiiight?

San Diego has been as foolish as LA. Both the City Council and the local Board of Education have condemned AZ and imply that there should be a boycott.

effin great!

AZ is striking back and canceling their vacation plans to SD. They are going to stay in state or vacation in CO.

I hate PC with a passion. There is the beginning of a grassroots movement to recall our supervisors who voted for the nonsense. This just isn't part of their job description. SD has economic problems and they are making it worse, not better.

Something most dont know is that california gets a large chunk of their water from Arizona by buying their water rights in the colorado river.

Maybe they should stop buying that to.

Hmm somehow I dont think that will happen.

actually there have been multiple lawsuits trying to get it without paying AZ for it. Basically they want AZ's share without paying. So I dont think they would stop buying anytime soon.

Those disputes have been ongoing for decades.

This racist dude is a history teacher in the Los Angeles school district named Ron Gochez. How would you like him teaching your children? It is happening, Badwebbers. Wake up. The Left might sympathize but rational people better start becoming concerned as the Balkanization that the Left is so in love with, is happening full tilt boogie. This "reconquista" nonsense was being taught in the Tucson school system until recently. Where else?

So how far off is the revolution? I still have high hopes for the ballot box, but if that fails, how long to we stand by and watch our Constitution be ignored?
