Never a dull moment down at that Glitch place. You could have had an old dull boring Sunday like I did. But NO........
I'm amazed that truck is okay, it looked kind of bad when you couldn't see it.

THANKS everyone for the well wishes and humor!
It looks like we will have plenty of fire wood.
Trust me, if I can sell it I will.
Hopefully I can borrow a log splitter.
They're coming tomorrow to take the tree down.
The estimate for the part on the house $600, the rest of the tree $2000.
When the power company came out that night, he said they may take care of it, since it's (the rest of the tree) endangering the power lines, and the rest of the neighborhood, they may take care of it.
I gave them a call.
They just came out and took a look.
THEY'RE GOING TO DO THE WORK!
I just have to take care of what won't fit through he chipper!
Things are looking up!

this is almost a year ago and they got lucky. just damaged the front corner of the house although they had just got the roof done the month before and because it was in the road way, the county pretty much got rid of the every thing except the stump. they did have to pay for the other tree that got uprooted though. i wasn't so lucky, it cost me over 3k about 14 years ago when the oak came down.

this was just around the corner from my house. the people across the street from them has a much larger tree that hovers over almost the entire house. if it came down, it would take out the conrcete walls and all. to many old scrub oaks in our neighborhood.
