Has anybody read the new cycle world and the master bike article? Did you notice how the big four are at the bottom four for the final results. Looks like the Jap builders need to raise the bar.

What month?
Also be ready you will probably be berated for not being PC and using the "jap" term. The Asian coup here is deceptively strong and well represented.

It's the June issue of CW. AMCN ran their own coverage a couple of weeks ago, the BMW's hottest lap times put it firmly on the top of the list.

From http://www.mcnews.com.au/NewsArchives/2010/March/M asterbike.htm

"European manufacturers decimate Japanese sportsbikes at annual Masterbike Test

The Annual Masterbike test took place at the Motorland Circuit in Spain
and the European contenders have spanked the Japanese manufacturers silly.

Last place went to Yamaha's R1 which was outscored by both Kawasaki's
ZX-10R and Suzuki's GSX-R1000. The best of the Japanese according to the
Masterbike testers was Honda's CBR1000RR Fireblade.

Fifth overall went to Ducati's 1198S. Austrian manufacturer KTM took out a
creditable fourth place while the first podium finisher was MV Agusta.

Aprilia's RSV4 Factory took second place but it was the Bavarian
Bahnstormer, BMW's S1000RR that was declared top dog in this test of
outright track prowess.

It sounded like most of them liked the RSV4 the best , but the power of the beemer could not be denied. At least the traditional Asian I4 was not the winner. Just wait till next year when the Erik Buell Racing 1190RR hits
