So i ride an XB9SX and love it.

However i am curious about the 1125cr. Is the riding position more hunched or like a R or up right like an S?

The 1125's aren't hunched at all, it is more relaxed than the Firebolt.

The egros on a stock 2009 CR are the same as a stock 1125R. You can get the optional high bar kit on the CR and install lower footpegs, but it ends up ruining the experience of the bike and makes it unbearable over 50mph.

I have both an 09 CR with the stock setup, and a 08 1125R with the stock setup. They are both fantastic, once you ride one you will not want to ride the XB anymore.

I had my first demo ride with an 1125CR last year, I fell in love instantaneously. My XB was in for service (again) when I demoed the CR. After I got back from the demo, I went to the owner of the dealer and told him to keep the XB. Although I didn't buy the bike on the spot like that, I was seriously considering it.

I had an '05 City-X, I have ridden a couple of 1125CR s. Ergo's seem pretty similar, find one and sit on it. Riding them is amazingly smooth.

But for me, I'm sticking with the Uly. I went to it from the City-X on purpose. I don't want to go back to that riding position. I am made different than Froggy.

I had the upright bars on it when Etennuly rode it, in the pouring freezing rain with 5 foot visibility.

It was a smooth wet foggy ride, but I have ridden another one since.

I had changed the bars on my City-X to higher and wider for better old fat guy ergos.

Was that freezing rain? I could not tell with my heated gear and grips.

I've got stock pegs and the high bars. For me, it's fine up to 70 MPH or so as long as it's warm (I'm just figuring that out after this long, cold winter). Above, that, the lack of wind protection is really noticeable.

I did about 300 miles on mine this weekend mostly at 60-70 MPH. I do need to take more frequent breaks than on the Uly, but it's not bad.

It's taken me a while, but I'm gradually warming up to this water-cooled beastie. I suspect my opinion will only improve after 3 days in the twisties this coming weekend at April Buell's Day.

The 1125CR (I rode one) is the most aggressive riding position of any Buell. I own a Firebolt, I rode the R and it feels about the same as the firebolt...However if you buy a CR take off the clubman bars and get the option higher bars put on. Then it will feel like an X1 riding position. I owned an X1 and rode the CR with optional bars the position is pretty similar.

I WANT one.
If I wasn't already paying for my 2008 XB12X, I could have priced one up for a song during the firesale.

I think I saw one NEW for $8000.
Snow-lobster-white too!

if your looking for a 1125CR, I've seen lots of those still available and the price is very low too! They don't seem to be selling very well around here. I was at McHenry HD/Buell the other day and they had 7 out front with some more in the back. Their demo was listed at $5,495.00. they had five red ones and two black one in front of the building. One 2006 used XB12X, two 1125R and one city X.

I test rode a 1125CR last July and I didn't care for it. I only rode it for about 8 or 9 miles and I had to pull over to stretch out from cramping-up. I won't ever try ridding one again unless it has the higher handlebars and the lower foot pegs.

If I was going to purchase a new Buell today, it would be the City X. Great feeling bike all around!

But I'd still never get rid of my Ulysses!

I too own a City-X, love it, can't think of much I'd trade it for.

I've ridden the R model, just after its introduction, at the dealer training event at Barber- WOOHOO what a bike! When I came home, I gained a greater appreciation for my XB, in that it's a whole lot less likely to KILL me. That Rotax motor is HELLA strong! I KNOW I'm not Superman, to ride the 1125 where it's capable will require a TRACK and bigger cojones than I have...

On the CR- I got to take the dealer demo out a few times, REALLY liked the gearing and state of tune. Look up the definition of "Hooligan bike" in the dictionary, you'll see an 1125CR.

I noticed the same thing. I can ride my XB and Blast a lot harder than my 1125's. I haven't been able to tame them yet.

I use to ride a 147 rwhp 89 ftlb stage two mod. ZRX1200R with friends who where on 600's & 1000's and at every stop sign I was waiting for them to catch up. I'll tame your R for you, Froggy. Put the higher bars on you CR and I'll tame it too.

That's some G's, Paw.

Torque hits a lot sooner on the CR than on that ZRX, with a LOT less weight. Get like Rollie Free, with your sternum pretending to be the flyscreen. : )

V-twins are the shizz- the last inline 4 I really liked was an 87 FZ700, 1st generation Genesis motor- KILLER midrange.

I miss my built RZ350.

I put 300 miles on a CR with the stock clubman bars on it one day. The CR's ergos were fine. It was my ergos that were the problem. I think I have take mass centralization to the extreme.

I rode the CR with the clubmans but drop pegs through the HH5 last Oct for me about a 400 mile day it was rough. I put the high bars on and it makes the milage easy but when your flying on the slab or wherever you got to lay on the tank or the wind kicks your but worse than the xb ever was. I just got my realay done and they put in the 152 flash holy shyt is it smooth as butter but I don't know how long it takes to learn the new map I rode it 50 miles and still butter smooth. All in all they CR is a way better bike than the xb was to me though but I will always love the XB's

Hey 86129squids did you ever ride the stage 2 ZRX. I owned one and I also test rode both the R and CR at a dealer got to see what they could do...My ZRX had more RWHP than the 1125's have at the crank...That 89 ft. lbs. of torque on the ZRX was not like the 1000's. I was in first gear doing about 15 or 20 MPH that would be about 3500 RPM, I cracked open the throttle and flip it over backwards it. It came up faster and easier than my firebolt. Go ride a stage two ZRX and you will have new found respect for that certain in-line four...My foot has the respect of 2 screws and three pins!!!

That bike with me one it and I am no where near a pro drag racer ran a best of 10.51 @ 129 MPH put a pro rider and yes it would be a 10.00 flat bike if not tip into the 9's. My ZRX was not a real heavy bike dry it was 494 lbs.
