Dude if $$ is the problem, go entirely the other way, look on Craigslist & visit the thrift shops to find yourself an old cheap tux that you can bin afterwards if you want, also you'll not spend the evening bricking about spillages on your rental. Then turn up in the biggest rustiest piece of 70s/80s junk you can find. Tell the girl what you're doing & make a theme of it for the both of you. | ||

so get this....brooke just texted me and asked "so whats the deal with prom are we splitting the cost 50/50 or what?" i of course said no ma'am, your not allowed to spend anything! i get the whole thats dumb, prom was my idea thing from her and i said idc if i'm taking you to prom i'm paying. her comeback is "fine.....if your paying then you have to come up with a creative way to ask me to prom...." so....since i'm not creative at all.....whats a good idea guys?!...nothing to big and crazy | ||

You are a gentleman Iman! I agree with Grumpy on not getting the rented Tux. One thing to worry about you don't need. You could go another way and try for 'different'. Instead of a suit on our wedding day, Chili wore a long black leather coat and goth boots and it looked awesome. I hate looking conventional. Maybe she would too? You don't have to match her colour totally either (see pink suit fashion mistake above lol!). A matching tie, belt or lack of colour at all will all match. Instead of corsages, floral wristlets are getting really popular over here, or if she doesn't have to wear a helmet, a floral haircomb. As for creative ways to ask her out...hhmmm thinking... | ||

After some thought we have come up with two options that seemed doable for the invite.. 1. Make an awesome invite on cardboard or something solid-ish. Cut it up into a jigsaw puzzle and send it to her. 2. A video invite. Some guys I know over here did this for their wedding invites... video invite | ||

Oh the prom...times have changed so much. Ours was in the school gym, these days many are in nice rented halls. We were lucky if our parents let us borrow the car. No one had a limo, not even the rich kids. The real party was after the prom. I totally busted curfew, yes I even had curfew on prom night, and came in about sunrise. My dad got me up about 30 minutes later and made we work on our farm all day. Those were the days. | ||

i forgot to tell what i did to ask her to prom! on like tuesday or something she had a dentist appointment halfway through the school day, so i went up to her teacher and asked if she picked up her missing homework before she left or not. Well she didnt, so i ran to the computer lab and decided i'd make her some homework! i found some website that created puzzles and stuff for you, so i made a crossword puzzle that ended up saying something along the lines of will you go to prom with me brooke? let me know soone from Ian. well she honestly thought it was homework and didnt figure it out untill she got to my name at the end! hahaha now i just have to go get my tux on monday  | ||

Ahhhhh....I loved my proms. Show up, get your picture made, and head off to get blitzed at a prom party and end up getting laid. Fantastic!!! Damn, I wanna go to a prom again!! | ||
