Jesus taught about our responsibility to "waving". Matthew 5: 46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? (The publicans were noted for their lack of virtue at the time and are used here as a standard to be exceeded) speak english man!! WTF!!! lol Sorry, didn't think I was speaking in tongues bro! salute = greeting, welcome or.... waving. IMHO Rewriting v 47 = If we only wave to those who are the same as us we are like everyone else. In fact even lowlife scum acknowledge other low life scum. Be special and do the hard thing - wave (welcome, greet) all. (This was meant to be a little light-hearted fun with the scriptures - not a religious treatise. Sorry if I missed LOL) |

"You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.' But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you. I need about three fifty.

Funny Glitch, I know at least one 3%er out here but I doubt they guy recognized the S2. Although the make of bike should not matter, at least to me. I'll run into him one day and I will have fun with it. Every now and again Lynn has to remind me that I am not a 1st Sgt anymore. |

Although the make of bike should not matter, at least to me. Me either, I've been stranded on the road for one reason or another on every bike I've owned. I've been riding well over 30 years, and I've only owned one Buell. That's a lot of different brands of bikes I've needed a little help with. I'm no brand snob. However I have owned my Buell longer than any other bike. |

F_skinner, Thanks, it sure feels good to be among the living, and to ride again! Praise God!! I will stop for anyone broke down, even cagers...LOL!!! The waving thing is a little strange, I found that HD riders who wave at me when I'm on my Glide won't wave at me when I'm on my Buell, and sportbike riders won't wave when I'm on my Glide, and when I'm on my Buell with the Nelson Rigg soft luggage, nobody waves...except folks on 50cc scooters! |

Come on, scripture, like shakespeare, is easy! You just think "Monty Python" and guess at the words you don't hear much in your neck of the woods. I often stop, but not always. sometimes I don't react in time....( while in X-way zombie state in car ....rare, but shamefully, happens...) I wave to bicycles, because I know on a racing bike it's actually work to wave...heh, heh,.... & bikes with no care at all what the riders on....unless it's a Buell, then I do the frantic nut case wave..... why not? But sometimes I don't.... I could be changing tunes on the Sansa....or rehearsing my excuse for being late, out riding that, thing, "I think you care more about it than......" Sorry. Flashbacks.. |

I wave at ALL motorcyclists because they are a dying breed. Especially with all the idiots in their cages driving while talking on their cell phone. It takes guts to ride a motorcycle on the streets anymore! |

Last night while riding our divided roadway, on two separate instances, I waved to two bikes coming the other way, after dark(no moon, quite dark). There was no way they could see me waving, nor that I could see their response. Oh NO! I am a frigken Reh-Tard! What am I to do? I think it may have been an internal response mechanism that allowed for a situational awareness feeling of confidence, that at least if I was snubbed, I could not know. I was snubbed three times in a row one day last week. I saw a deer in town also. I stopped to attempt to get a picture, but since it had no lights or reflectors it did not show up in the picture with the street lights in the background. The main reason I prefer not ride after dark often. Ya just cannot trust what deer are going to do any more than you can trust that a biker will wave back. |

I wave at every bike, brupabrups and sportbikes. Sometimes wave at cops and roadies (on the skinny tire bicycles) just for fun! |

I found that as well. Waving like fools when I was on the EGlide but nothing when I was on the Firebolt or S1. BTW: I also had my emergency flashers on. So much for helping a fellow rider. I am just glad I was able to get the bike home without a tow. |

If I see a H-D rider (or any rider) stopped along the side of the road, I make it a point to stop. |

"Brupabrups" that's funny, I hope I can remember that. I try to hang a hand off to everyone including the motors cops and scooters especially, the scooter riders never seem to get it though. I try not to get too offended when they don't wave back. (I guess they're just Publicans?) (Message edited by littlebuggles on April 12, 2010) |

I saw a red Uly in Lyons, WI Saturday morning. I passed a shocker back and forth with the passenger on back. |

Got a dirty look from a rider on a yellow Uly this morning (passed him going the same direction) when I threw out a shocker...not my first choice to ride the Road Glide, but you gotta do what you gotta do... |

I got so used to waving to other cyclist (roadies) that when I'm on my motorcycle I find myself waving to them then too. I've even caught myself waving to Jeeps when I'm on my motorcycle and waving to motorcycles while I'm driving my Jeep. I'm just all kinds of confused. |

You realize HD riders did not shut down Buell right? Thats like blaming Honda riders because the should have bought a Buell. Two of my closest friends are Harley riders and they were almost as upset about the Buell shutdown as I was. |

The HD crowd has an attitude and this was long before Buell was shut down. I wave at all and about half of the HD crowd are too good to reply. I get a 100% reply from the import riders. I stop for everyone along the side of the road, bikes & cars. |
