the designer had to be thinking Buell
becuase there is nothing retro old about this building.
Its a good thing this building did not have to follow American building codes
or it would look like a box with one door

Flowing aerodynamic shapes inspired by Harley? What kind of weed are those guys smoking? If the shapes WERE inspired by Harley, it WOULD look like a box with one door.

Seems odd there's one HD and 2 Buells in a brand new building. Why are the Buells in there? It would be silly to showcase a bike you don't sell. Maybe they belong to the architechs. Also the gold Buell had a tail chop I think, so it wouldn't be new?

There's no chrome door handle or an incredibly obese saddle with eyes hanging off the back.

"For design inspiration the architects looked to the bikes themselves and they have expressed the elegance and aerodynamics of the Harleys in the lines of the building."

I fail to see how the building is aerodynamic.

"I fail to see how the building is aerodynamic."

That makes sense to me because I fail to see how Harleys are aerodynamic.

I must be missing something on all of the harley's I have seen in my last 7 years of selling aftermarket parts, where are the pointy parts? Other than the pike nuts, spear air cleaners, matching grips, pegs,& axle covers, etc... you know, the real FAG stuff!

No no no, you're all missing it... that building's the shape of the chrome thingy mounted along the back fender that holds up the rear bumper of an FLH.

who ever was the Architect, he had no idea what was going to be inside of that museum.
there is total lack of interior design.
and lighting design.
unless he knew HD bikes would be dispalyed and then why would anyone want to see antique technology.
the Aussies ar use to respecting Ducati and brands that actually believe in making a good pruduct for their customers

Look at the rear shot of the bikes it looks like the lightning has a 240 tire on the back it is bigger than the H-D's and most of them have a 180 to 200 on them. And they went and screwed it up with all the shiny part they put on it.

In the article there is a large picture of some sort of very old board track racing bike, obviously that is not a part of the H-D(spit) culture!
