Forgive me if someone has already suggested this or done this but some computer literate person should begin a countdown clock until Mr. Buell's noncompete clause is up. Maybe someone in the know "wink wink nudge nudge" could supply us with a reasonable but not illegal date. Maybe put it on the main page as a beacon of light for those of us looking forward to what dreams may come.

Well. Makes us feel better. For sure!

However, it does not help EBR reach the goal of freedom and independence. Since none of us know for sure if:
- there is a non-compete
- if one is in place, when it expires
-....

And shedding light on this, even in our own club house called BadWeB, could get the attention of H(spit)D(spit), who hold the cards.

I'd say, let sleeping d(h)ogs lie.

Is there been an official date? It isn't hard to make a countdown clock.

Froggy, the May issue of MotorCyclist states 2/1/2011 as the date that Erik's no compete clause ends. It's on page 19.

- there is a non-compete
That's common knowledge.
- if one is in place, when it expires
A little more tricky, since his contract may be nondisclosure.

But by reading all the articles, and clues, putting two and two together....
I come up with March of next year.

Severance agreement is a confusing thing.

There is most likely an agreement of sorts. It has a time limit on it.

My point is this.
Public attention to a private agreement is not helping Erik Buell.

I just flipped through the latest Cycle World. First, I'm envious of the editor and those who got the chance to ride the 2nd version of the 1125 (Barracuda 2) and second, I'm pissed at that I-D-10-T (Idiot) Wandell. He should be glad I'm not a share-holder. The bike was literally weeks away from release to the market and he shut down the whole operation. Gawd, he's a MORON! I will never understand how guys like him end up in positions like where he's at.

2/1/2011

Don't quote me, but I think I've seen it in writing in a magazine.

I have it in my profile on other sportbike site as "3/11:Erik's Free!" Hopefully I'm right. Or God will send a lightning bolt to smite Wend.... just kidding. I would never wish that ; ) .........

You know that date is bittersweet for me on the positive note that date is good because of this on the bad note it means I will be 24 hours form beaing a year closer to 30. Also a good thing will be the fact that I will be on termanal leave from the army by then.

I agree that it may not help Erik's cause. The fine folks who oversee this website have enough legal sense not to do something that would hurt or damage the Buell cause. On the other hand it could help generate excitement and be a launching point for future endeavors. I believe the term in advertising is called "buzz".

On a personal note I sat in an HD dealer loan approved, insurance worked out, and keys sitting on the table for a new 1125R. I walked away and decided that I would do some improvements to my 12r and wait for the day that Mr. Buell can build the bikes he always dreamed of building.

Don't see everything you believe. . . .

Most of what I read, hear and see is more internet fancy than fact.

Focus on the real challenges.

Just personal opinion . . .
