Christine the JT&S Performance "Social Media" Gal and bookkeeper also saw the EBR Face Book post. She just called me with the idea of a Wine Tasting Fund Raiser for Friday Night. The track is just down the road from of some great small winery's. If we did and had a commitment from the EBR Gang to be there for an hour or so How many of you would buy a ticket? They get approx $15 per head for the tasting , so for a donation of $35 those who will be there to watch the team on their first outing can stop past to rub elbows with the "Boss" himself. For those who can't make it we would be happy to send you a signed souvenir ticket to the tasting. All proceeds out side the actual count who show up would go to the team. We would ask Erik to sign the other no show tickets and we would send the back out to you. It would be so cool to sell 100 or more tickets even if only 50 people showed up. E-mail us at info@jtsperformance.com and let us know if you think it would be something you would be interested in if we can get it set up.

On the test days we normally only see the factory teams, even Danny and the boys didn't make it last year. On the race weekend, we just want to see if it's an idea some of those who get out here can get behind.

Out of curiosity, what made them think a wine tasting was the perfect fund raising event for a bunch of motorcycle riders...? Wouldn't a... I dunno, a BBQ plate... be more appropriate?

I'd be in, that means also the wife - maybe Scott and wife, - will check. Does a lot for wife approval, and gets them to go also, and if you space it out to just a few tastings - you can ride there via back roads with the wives chasing and ride back safely - been to lots of wine tastings - lol - usually for the backroads. That could be nice. I'll see.

Cliff, "Them" is me and yes a dinner would be nice, but it would cost more and we don't have a lot of time. As the original post stated Christine our media guru is the point person and someone at a local winery owed her a favor so she got the site for a great cost, (free). I am sure if it happens, those who get there will have a great time. I have never heard of an event with the "Boss" present, where all did not have a great time.

Until we hear back from our potential guests of honor, this is all tentative! We are keeping our fingers crossed and everything is in place if the EBR folks say yes.

Swordsman, Our home track, Infineon Raceway, is located in the heart of California's wine country. if ever you come to Sonoma, I'll be happy to take you wine tasting, too : )
I pride myself on being a good ambassador for this beautiful region we call home.

Ha, guess the wine thing only sounds strange because it's less common down my way. Around here, the closest you come to wine at a fund raiser would be the ketchup on your hot dog plate.

I believe I've been out there once... my uncle lives in San Fran, and we took a ride out that way last time I visited. Absolutely gorgeous country.

Yeah - if this is a go - I will make the day a riding day with the destination being the benefit - getting in a couple hundred beautiful miles in before hand would be a great way to start the day!
