Looked at and sat on a Victory Cross Country today. The bike seemed to fit my 5,10 frame perfectly. What are your opinions? |

A lot easier on the eyes than the Vision. Vic's version of a road couch. |

The cross country will replace my 09 electraglide as soon as it is sold. |

I've heard that the saddle bags shape prevents putting a lot of things in them that don't conform to the shape. The HD bags aren't exactly cavernous either though. +1 on the styling being better than the Vision. |

The saddlebags on the the Cross Country are significantly larger than on the Harleys. Don't confuse the X-Country with the Vision. They are almost entirely different. Also, any experience on the Hammers, 8-Balls, etc. do not translate to the X-Country; it is unique |

Reg, I did hear that specifically about the Vision saddle bags. I thought these were essentially the same. Thanks for setting the record straight. I've always wondered if the Victories have more clearance for cornering than the HD's. Anyone know anything about that? |

I read the only thing the HD does better then this Vic is it has better breaks... Everything else is on the Vic side! |

Sifo... The Vision bags are a disappointment, and are entirely different from those on the X-Country. The Brembos on the Harley FLs are superior to the brakes on the XC. However, the suspension ... front & rear... is better on the Vics; this allows you to stay off the brakes more. Cornering clearance is comparable, i.e. not great. The thing about these big barges, however, is that dragging the footboards is really a non-issue, doesn't bother the bike. ...also, a much superior dash layout on the Vic. btw, I'm not as high on the Cross Roads model. Here is my article in American Rider on the Vics.: http://www.polarisindustries.com/en-us/Victory-Mot orcycles/2010/Pages/Magazines-Overview.aspx?WT.mc_ id=12C3C04F-6433-DF11-BB0F-0017A4A77F44&WT.mc_ev=e mail&WT.mc_id= |
