All I see in the Norwegian report is a difference of opinion between three people who were not present at the time. The Janklow story infuriates me to the edge of temporary insanity. This pillar of the community, this great contributor was absolutely careless and wanton in his disregard for the lives of others. If it was me in the court room being sentenced, you can bet I would get the maximum or damn close to it. I believe that public officials should be held to a high standard, and punished to the maximum extent of the law in cases like this. How better to send the message to others than with a high profile individual. Show everybody, "look, this is what happens when you cast away all your concern for others". It's really not surprising and that's a damn shame. | ||
