Anyone have experience with this model ranger? My blazer has 155,000 miles, and I have been saving for a truck. I am thinking Ranger, and a friend of mine is going to be selling his Level II. Any concerns I may have missed in my research? The one thing I do know is that the gas mileage stinks because Ford put a 4:10 rear in the Level II's, but I think I can deal with that. Any info is appreciated. Thanks. |

The last two trucks I have had are Ford F Series and it'd be damn tough to beat them. I called this morning about ordering another. The deals Ford currently has going are too good to pass up. I also just bought . . by accident . . a 2010 Focus that was **supposed** to be a "keep for 6 months" and I have to tell you it's a damned impressive car. Ford's got it happening. |

The Ranger FX4 II are great. Not only do they have 4.10 gears, but they also have a Torsen T-2 LSD, 31 spline rear. Throw some 31" on there and you will be good to go. (Message edited by crackhead on March 19, 2010) |

It sounds perfect, I wanted something that can actually handle off-road use, since I do quit a bit of that at the cabin. I need 4-low just to make it up the driveway. |

I have a 94 Ranger XLT, we call it the TDT (thousand dollar truck). Bought it about 6 years ago, with about 120K on the clock. About to turn 200K and still kicking. Mazda (Ford Ranger) does make a good small truck. |

Yes if you are looking for a Ranger, keep an eye out for the Mazda B series. It is the same truck with a different grill, but you may be able to find it cheaper. |

I'd like a F-150, but, the Ranger gets much better gas mileage. I have the V6 4 liter. |

I want a level II SOOOOOO bad!! with a torsion bar crank in the front 33" tires can fit. it has 31x10.5 tires stock rangers are great trucks, my '93 2wd splash would not die. I sold it with 100,000 on it to my best friend and he totaled it on the back of a 1ton dually 40,000 miles later and he sold it needing a radiator and other front clip parts and now we still see it around town. good luck killing it, it could be the last truck you ever need to buy. Will be a great truck, by 05 they had the timing chain tensioner issues fixed and some other minor things fixed. Should basically be bullet proof. |
