I received a letter from H-D Australia today... "Harley-Davidson Australia is committed to providing the best possible service to all Buell customers, and we will continue to do so for decades to come. As part of this commitment, we're pleased to announce your 2 year standard factory warranty has been extended to 3 years from the date your motorcycle was first registered - absolutely FREE!" Anybody else get something like this? It kind of baffles me for a company that's not exactly in great shape. Obviously they haven't noticed what I've been posting on H-D's facebook page  | ||

More than likely it's not "H-D" that's done you the favor. Probably a service oriented dealership. Back before the management kill off of SMHD&Buell, they would go above and beyond on a regular basis. They were more worried about keeping a customer than what they rode. I got a few perks, and took it for granted every H-D dealer were like them. Then I found BadWeB and it turned out I had been lucky enough to have found an exception not a rule | ||

Maybe they knew if they sent it to you you'd get the word out there? Maybe if they could win you over they could swing the rest of the kids in your neighborhood... Kinda cool move actually. Wish I had a local dealership that could instill that sort of confidence (in having dealer support if needed) in me. | ||

It is a very cool thing, and the kind of thing I would have expected from my dealer, who have been fantastic, but it has come straight from H-D Australia, signed "Adrian O'Donoughue, Marketing Manager - Harley Davidson Australia", and I'm assuming Peter bought his bike outside QLD. (Love the number plate!) I wonder if it's a Buell only thing, or if H-D owners got it too? I'll have to do some asking around. | ||

If I don't get a letter for my XR as well, it'll be obvious they under estimated the anger of Buell customers. | ||
