It appears there is legislation brewing in the UK which could affect anyone posting a pic on the internet and could also affect almost anyone taking photographs while visiting the UK. I assume that this also includes taking a pic of a traffic jam. Or to make this Buell related, taking a pic of a Buell motorcycle that is parked in a public place in the UK while there are any people in the background.

I'm sadly unsurprised, it's my country but it's gone to hell in a handcart.
If it wasn't for family & friends there I'd probably never go back.
There's a general election looming so all sorts of stupid laws are being rolled out as vote getters, most will never make the statute books, some die very quickly.
It was proposed last week that all dog owners would be obliged to carry third party insurance for their dog in case it bit someone. That's well over 5 million dog owners. That one got dropped today.

There's lot's of lovely sneaky laws they've introduced & technology to enforce them.

One of the more recent things is a panel van with a camera on each corner of the roof which reads licence plates. They just drive it about the city streets & when it picks up a plate on a vehicle with either; no insurance, or no yearly road tax, or out of date vehicle inspection, it gets picked up & taken to the pound, & if you don't pay up within a certain time...It gets crushed!!

There's no hiding places in the UK anymore.

Still, it must have something, as the illegals are still risking life & limb to get there.

The unfortunate thing is that the more people there are - the more people there are making rules.

good, they are illegally on the road. if people break the law, then they should suffer the consequences.

i cant see copyright, or taking of photographs in public places being banned. what would happen to all the tourists that come to this country, and there a re many professional photographers who would fight this.

Do you get the A&E channel? A show called Parking Wars. Shows ticketers and vans like you describe also shows how frustrating it can be trying to retrieve your vehicle. They have been doing it here for years. However, I believe they auction the cars off, no crushing. The sneaky people are the ones trying to get away with unpaid tickets. But the P.P.A. (Philadelphia Parking Authority) can be unbearable as well.
Welcome to Philadelphia, PA, The City of Brotherly Love!! lol... just make sure you park legally!
