My buddy just found an old quart of Formula+ thats been rolling around in the cab of his truck for about a year. (Yes his truck is unbelievably disgusting) He gave it to me because he wrecked his bike and no longer is interested in riding. My question is, does this stuff go bad after a while? If so, how long does it take for it to become unusable? It seems to be fine, and I will no doubt use it when it's time to change fluids. Just wondering. | ||

As long as you drink it before the "best if used by" date you're good. No...wait...what? It's still good if the cap is good. You don't want any water to get in there. | ||

Is the label on the bottle all scuffed and looking bad too? I would also say send it to me, I will use it if it has not been opened. | ||

I intend on using it. It just got me wondering if the stuff goes bad after a while. Say you got a good deal on a case, would it be worth it to buy it? | ||

Buying a whole case might be overboard. It only takes a quart to fill the primary. That's a lot of oil changes. It should stay usable for a long time though. Just be sure to test it before use by sipping a couple of ounces. If it ever fails to taste like really nasty oil I would stop using it. | ||
