Congrats Dave! I'm so glad your leap of faith turned out good for you. I wish you many more years of success with your archery shop. Thanks for all the guidance and helpful suggestions you offered as we learned our way around the Uly. I'm not sure I would have made it very far without your help and patience! We need new pics of the furkids at work...especially Taos. That was one of the best stories here on BadWeB! | ||

Congrats.... I just had Chili made with one of the deer I got this year that was killed with a arrow and release I bought from you.... Thanks for all the help! One of these days when I hit it big... 3 years? I guess it has been quiet around here, but for three years? I guess the time has flown by ever since I had to start finding my own parts, rather than having them find me  Congrats Dave! We all knew you'd be a success. | ||

Don't think I'd call it a "success" yet! Yep, I am still here but it is a struggle, almost every day. It's a tough business. I always tell everyone that I am still in "the getting there" stage. The good news is, I am getting there. Looking forward to my best year yet in 2010! Hoping to top the $250,000.00 in gross sales hurdle this year. Once I can build the business to about 300,000.00 per year in archery gear sales it will be a success. I think it will take me one or two more years to get there. I work on it every day! Once I get the African safari thing going that will add about 400,000.00 to my annual sales. Too bad the margin isn't higher on them! Within the next 2 years I hope to expand into a larger building. Got my eye on one right now but the time isn't right quite yet. | ||

Thanks for the offer Blake but as the former "chief of the non sponsor advertising police" I do not think it would be right for me to pimp my goods here without being a paying sponsor. Most of my friends here know what I do now and can always just PM me or go to my website to contact me. I almost didn't start this thread for the same reason. But, I thought some would like to know what's going on with me. Glad a few of you did!  Can't wait for Homecoming so I can see and hear a whole bunch of Buells and Buellers again! | ||

Man, I do miss Dave  He just kept a copy of my CC and I'd call/email/smoke signal him stuff like: 'Dave, send me all the crap I need fix both sides of the Uly handle bars.' Yeah, I do get to shoot some pretty sweet bow set ups! Just set up my new PSE Omen today. Already shooting pretty good with it. I have a shoot this Sunday and it's always a good idea if the guy that owns a bow shop can shoot a little. I do not win the shoots but I like to be in the top 10. Last 2 shoots I came in 3rd and 5th. Kind a like the guy that is selling Buells should know how to ride one! This is another business that you need to be able to "walk the walk" not just "talk the talk" | ||

3 years, hard to believe, time sure fly's when you are on Prozac. congrats, I am still shooting those arrows I got from you when you first opened. How is Candy and her mom doing. Think you are missed around here. How is that pup that you rescued? That was quite a mission getting Taos to Iowa, great support by all involved. | ||

Dave is hands down the best Buell Ethusiast/salesman that has ever graced us here on the Badweb. Hell I bought two bikes from him. One even got delivered to my house and the paper work done at my dining room table. Dave,you may be struggling but your doing something right. Because many businesses fail before even 3 years.
