The engine looks enormous! Like its got elephantitis or something. Just like the BMWs, what the hell is stored in those engine cases, they look overly large for the required happenings for a motorcycle. Does it do laundry? Wash dishes? | ||

RE the topical Brutale:  I just don't see the appeal of the Brutale. Other than the rear wheel, it looks absolutely hideous to me. I guess I just prefer clean and simple over muddled and complex. | ||

Color me in Blake's camp . . there are things I admire about the Brutale (and I'm eager to hear how Steve is liking his) but to me it's simply too busy. I am, however, a fan of the "old" Monsters they, and the S1's, were the embodiment of clean, simple and fun. | ||

I was asked to come up with ways to sell more Guzzis - 'add 25 horsepower' was one suggestion. Picking up a new Grizzo shortly so I'll see how accurate that is. I too am no Brutale fan. It's not a very pleasant bike to ride. It only has two modes - stop and OMG - it's an impressive OMG - but quite a harsh one. Prefer the Speed Triple. | ||

I've never ridden the Speed Triple but have never heard anything but good about it. I'd enjoy riding one. They are very evident in NYC. | ||

The triple has some of the low down torque of a large V-twin and some the free revving ability of an in-line four - in one package. It has similar twist and rip to an XB - with 30 more horsepower. The standard Kyaba suspension is the weak point - but easily fixable - the 'SE' models do that in the deal. | ||
