Well, now I know.

Rode my Uly around Hampton Downs today. Its first and last time on a track.

Loved the new tyres, (which is actually why I went out - I wanted to see how they spalled up - beautifully!) enjoyed hanging on the back of the sportsbikes going around the tight stuff.

Hated getting utterly blown away on the straights.

Wasn't wringing its neck, but had it wicked up.

I was hitting 110mph on the back straights, the 600's were tapping around 20-30mph faster and the 1000's 30 to 40.

As a track bike I'd give it 3/10.

However, for its ability to ride ANYWHERE at a dry track, as well as to and from - I give it 9/10.

Makes me kind of sad that there will be no new ones when I have the money to buy one.

Yeah - Hacks me off I won't be able to buy another one.

Knees? - probeleeeem with being the photographer. Got the pegs on the deck a few times though - that's pretty good going on a Uly.

No luggage - ironwork is fitted though.

Avon VP2 - strictly road tyres (supposedly!) - but I am quite impressed.

They dare you to take it to extremes - and I have been.

They give pretty good warning that they are about to let go too. Oooh! - back off a bit Davey.

Mmmmmmm stiiiiiickeeeee.
