On Johnny Winter's Second Winter album, there are three songs placed in an intentional order. I Love Everybody, Hustled Down In Texas and I Hate Everybody.
Today, I can fully empathize with that.

Second Winter has allways been my favorite JW

Saw him live about 30+ years ago; Highway 61 (from Captured Live!), nearly brought down the house.
Couldn't hear for a week after that one...

I saw Johnny Winter in a club in Boston in 1981. We were sitting less than 10 feet away from him. It was an incredible show, but my ears rang for three days afterwards.

A good friend of mine who passed away last year,Pat Ramsey, played harp on Johnny's '78 album White,Hot and Blue.In the mid 80's Pat and his band did a 10 date Florida tour opening for Johnny and I got to attend 4 shows.
This was back when he started playing Erlewine Lazers and not useing his Firebirds as much.

I am a big Johnny Winter fan and have seen him live several times. I used to live at the Houston House high rise in downtown Houston. One night late, I was walking through the lobby and Johnny Winter was standing there with two gorgeous women. I could not believe he was in the lobby of my building. I could not even talked, I just stared at him. When I could finally talk, I asked the desk clerk why Johnny Winter was there and he told me that Johnny Winter had lived in the building for years and still lived there. It was so cool! It also proved the point that no matter how ugly you are, if you are a rock star you can always have beautiful women.
