Suzanne Grundy says "the combination of a bi-racial, mentally challenged gay male may be too much for them."

gawd bless Washin'ton
I think its the water up here. When I was in highschool we had other ways of getting with the cheer squad.

I will not be accused of being politically correct.

bi-racial, mentally challenged gay male They missed ugly. I wouldn't say all that when I can use one word, "retard".I have a son that is a male cheerleader. He gets to throw the girls around and catch them.

She talking about herself or the kid? That's PC going waaay tooo far. Sometimes as a parent you are going to have to realize there are things your kids just aren't going to be able to do. Especially if they have a handicap that further keeps them from participating. DEAL WITH IT! My girls are never going to be in the Boy Scouts like I was, I'm content with that. I will not sue to get them in, all this political correctness is a bunch of crap. It's getting as bad as playing the overused race card.

I don't like gay people be they male or female. I damn sure make NO apology for it either, and since when does sexual topics become a forefront topic for students to have to sift through in their daily activities. This is bogus BS and moms looking for a payday on account of her special needs son. I have no tolerance for swordswalowers or likor ladies. and if you don't like it ..... to damn bad, man up a little, farries need not apply.

When I was a kid, if you werent 'socially ready' for kindegarten they didnt let you in for another year. So I started when I was 6 ; )
now they are letting developmentally disabled special needs kids at the age of 4 in because their parents use it as day care ?!?! wtf?

why are people so scared now days to offend gay people? They sure arent scared to offend us strait people. You can call me what you will but I liked it better when it was not ok for people to be gay, it seems like in todays society gay people are above any and everything. Just look at the snikers comercial the year before last that aired on the superbowl. It got banned from tv because it offened gay people due to too strait guys being grossed out by there lips touching.

Aint fraid to offend anybody.

Had/still have many great friends over the years that were/are gay.

Don't care what peeps do at home, behind closed doors.

I'm good with gay couples raising kids- WAAY too many POS people procreating and incapable of doing right by their kids- if they adopt, more power to them.

Didn't read the first link, craptastic puter no worky.

Gay?

DILLIGAF.

I don't have a problem with gays at all
I just wish the whole issue stayed in closet. We were all just a little more comfortable when it was there, weren't we?

I judge the people I meet by WHO they are not by WHAT they are.

I know all sorts of people from all walks of life & I honestly couldn't give a toss if they're gay, straight, lesbian, Jewish, Moslem, American or Arab.
It's the person that counts.

I've met wealthy, white, christian, mouth-breathing dopes in positions of responsibility & power who should have been taken out & put up against a wall for the sake of the species.
I've met people of all shades some of whom I'd trust my life to, others to steer clear of.

I don't think Gay's or Blacks or any other category should get any preferential treatment, just treat everybody on their own merits & shut up.
That attitude doesn't sell newspapers though.

I wonder how much "being told to stand still" has to due with being "mentally challenged"? Probably could not keep up with the dance steps. Most gays can dance (I kedd, I kedd).

I was talking to my neighbor who retired from teaching this year. He taught gym and drivers ed (tough job). He was telling me about having to have disabled kids in gym and drivers ed. These were kids who could never participate in gym or would ever drive. However, due to the "no kid left behind" these kids have to take these classes. Most of the kids did not enjoy taking these classed either.

Another teacher was telling me that the "no kid left behind" policy basically eliminated special ed classes. All kids are taught in the same room. Therefore the smart kids don't learn anything because the teachers now spend all of their time teaching Johnny not to eat his poo.

it is not just the democrats who are to blame, it is all politicians and lawyers. The no kid left behind program needs to change. I understand having standardized test but classrooms should never be all inclusive.

I have no problems with people - life choices, race, ideals, religion, hair color... but if I EVER see an engineer at work wearing a plain white shirt, I KNOW he's a geek.

(Some of my prejudices ARE justified)

And if you drink a beer with "LITE" in its name, we ARE gonna have personal issues.
