After a long day of work I have better things to do than shovel. I have a badass Husqvarna snow blower. I can clear 20 inches of snow as at a comfortable walking pace. My drive is about 100 feet long and takes about 10 minutes to clear.

Living in Cleveland, that would be a good thing. Here in Maryland, you don't tend to think it's necessary. One street over, all the neighbors pitched in to share a snowblower. 2 guys keep it in good order, one lady stores it. Boy, are they happy right about now. Outside right now, it's still snowin', still blowin' (I mean the 40-50 mph type of snowblowing, mother nature style). |

Had an extra 14" today with an icy layer from the freezing rain/sleet/snow mix. Dug out, went to work, watched it snow all day out the window. My relief was late (almost didn't have one) dug out again, drove home in nearly white-out conditions and never saw a speck of pavement.
I really wish the county would do me a favor and stop "plowing" my road. They run along with the blade skimming the bank on the side and socking in my driveway so it looks like they are really doing some good! Just getting overtime is all. So I bust INTO my driveway and then spend another hour un-plowing it... again.
Oh, and I get to do it all over again tomorrow. |

Who makes a tuned pipe that will bolt on to my Toro snowblower? I need to get it so it will throw it onto my neighbors drive! |

we got another 16 inches on top of the 26 earlier this week. I'll be digging out for the rest of the week now! Looks like Monday to get back to work for me! |

Haven't measured ours yet...but they're calling MD a state of emergency. Plows were recalled and not out until 6am today. Route 15 (main N/S road from Frederick up to Harrisburg) is closed with occasional 12' drifts across the highway. I70 - east/west interstate - also closed with massive drifting. My driveway is short - if I back our Ram 2500 quad cab 8' bed to the garage door, the front bumper is only about 3' from the road - and I'm not looking to hit the road before...say...lunch. And that would be the road with ZERO tracks in it - no big redneck 4x4s, no 4 wheelers (we've got plenty of both 'round these parts), NOthing.
If I could get to it...I'd be pissed I hadn't replaced that busted brakeline on my deuce-and-a-half. But...since there's no way in hell I can get up the hill to where it's parked anyway, it's moot. But DAMN that would be fun - like college ('93) when we were blowing around closed highways in a MD-NG Hummvee  |

a day of freezing rain followed by a day and a half of snow..
took me an hour of running the car and chipping ice to get the windows cleared. The ice was about 2 inches thick at the bottom of the windshield - completely engulfed the wipers
this is a couple days later after the snow and ice melted - the ground is covered in marble sized hail
.. BUT eventually all of it melted so I went for a ride
