Froggy, because even though a miata will out handle, out accelerate, and probably last longer, I still prefer my old loud stinky smoke belching Alfa spider. It's got soul. Where have I heard that before?

I'm with Lemonchili on the RS3,but would also add a non Targa, non widebody vintage 911.

And for more vintage goodness a '67 Nova restomod. With modern suspension,an injected V8 and a 5 speed manual.

I'm also liking the 2011 MB SLS AMG Gullwing.

A CTS-V with a manual trans would not be a bad thing.

>>I haven't owned a car in years either, <<

The Mrs runs a nice Merc, but I only get in it to go to the shops and she usually drives. The hours she works it's never here anyway.

Doesn't bother because lining up in traffic just gives me the sh*ts more than I fancy any car.

Next car project... '39 Lincoln Zephyr glass body with Mercedes V12 and running gear, maybe some/most of the interior too. Black and slammed on air.

So you would rather have the slower, poor handling, clunky, underpowered, unsafe, not street legal version why?

If you have seen and heard one in person you might think differently. There were a few street GT-40s made. I also remember reading the GT-40 was the last street legal car to win Le Mans. Weighing under 2500 Lbs (>1000 less than Ford recreation), with a 427 pushing 485 hp and 475 lb/ft, 200+ mph top speed, I wouldn't call it under powered. I'm sure it would handle alright with some modern tires and I think I am safer driving a GT-40 than I am commuting to work everyday on motorcycle from Pasadena to west LA.

My After I win the lottery dream vehicle would be to custom build a motor home on an extended Peterbuilt Chassis. 425 cat powered with a 15spd Eaton/Fuller roadranger tranny.( wouldn't need all those gears, but I just love to jam through them !!) The rear of the truck would have a full shop and space for a least 4 bikes. Then I can travel around and treat my friends to track days.

Almost anybody can . . .

I knew that. My point being, why not just cut or black it out. Swirly is cute, but not secure.

oooooooooooooooooooh, Starlight coupe; top of my list, along with an Avanti. If I could have any car that I've owned back, it would definitely be the '67 SS427 Impala Sport Coupe. Big girls rock.
