Anyone know who made the 50 "street" bikes for HD? Were these produced in-house?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ewItem&item=170440036348&viewitem=#v4-36

The more I look at it the more I like it. Never found it too appealing, but now that most every superbike looks just like the other it is starting to look good.

Genesis

Before you buy . . speak to some folks who owned them.

It's a better decoration than race bike.

But they were sure cool to hear go down the back straight and into Canada corner at Road America. Especially when the baffle blew out of one.lol

I bet the buyer that I just sold S&S's to will be watching this one. He now has 7 VR's and said he will be trying to buy anyone that comes up for sale.

If it is "race only" why does it have lights,blinkers and mirrors?

That VR was a great bike, if you had really strong legs to push it back to the pits. Really cool collector's item. It would look good in the living room.

Is the NR the "not round" oval piston engine? Cool concept, Honda's not afraid to try new things, even if many of them don't take off.

NR = Not Ready...Or...how to build a V-4/8 kinda...two rods,one piston...eight valves...one piston....ok who knocked the cylinder liner out between 1 and 2? ...why don't these rings seal???....but it sounds like a 4 cylinder...it is "nudge, nudge" a four cylinder...see rule brook...

when I was younger I thought the vr was the coolest harley ever made. After I just looked at that one I realize they were ugly as hell. I think the airtech body work for the s1 that is supposed to look like the vr is better looking than the real vr

I like the vr. As far as it not being a good race bike I would'nt buy one to race. Nor would i go far from home with it but I would love to own one.

It's to bad HD doesn't have the balls that they had in the mid 90's to do something like that and keep with it.

fritz

I'm smiling

The single most coolest thing Fritz had was his relationship with his wife Tina, just being able to observe those two together changed my life.
