Here is an exercise...GOOGLE "Famous Left Handed People"...it is fairly amazing...

I heard it said once that lefties tend to be more creative in some respects...but more likely to go whacko...

Read the List

Left handed by nature. Ambidextrous by learned behavior.

The only thing I do solely left handed anymore is write.

Thus far:

Right handed: 62

Left handed: 22

Just over 30% left handed.

From the sounds of it, you need to add the category Ambi.

Right for everything.

I've heard that right handed people tend to be more book smart, while left handed people are more artistic. Wonder if there's any solid proof to that?

It is tough growing up in a right handed world. How many south paws are right eye dominant? I shoot right with both pistol and long gun. I throw right handed, but can bat left or right with ease. As for a bow, it is just weird. I draw with my left hand and aim with my right eye. Working on aircraft in tight places, makes being ambidextrous a huge plus.
As an aside I don't write in the typical south paw fashion either.

Here is another good question to further complicate things. How many right handers are truly ambidextrous?

Fast that is a function of nature itself. SouthPaws use the right side of the brain. Which is the creative side of things. Righties use the left side which is more analytical.

as for going off the deep end more often..... Probably more about dealing with the right handed world.

Right. I try to force myself to do things left-handed in case something happens to me(crashing on my wife's Lightning and dislocating my right shoulder comes to mind).

So- Am I the only one here who's heard "Right Handed Love" by Smokin Dave and the Premo Dopes? I swear it should be the soundtrack for this thread...

I'd post an MP3 link if I could...

Youn's should look it up and have a listen!

Smokin Dave and the Premo Dopes, album title is "Huh?" Good ole local Knoxvegas boys.

I'm left-handed. In my work group we have more southpaws than righties. The accepted figure of 12% is probably low. This quick poll lends credence to that opinion.

left for writing and eating, ambidexdrous for everything else. Of the four of us in our family 3 are south paw.
My daughter, the only lefty in the house, complains that even the dog is left pawed.
I'm not convinced as of yet.

Predominately Left Handed, Billiards and Firearms are Right Handed, although I am working on Ambidextrous with those 2 disciplines. Wrenching depends on what I'm working on. I'll work the most natural hand for the task

are you building a big pie graph with some sort of collating data projection to it?....
Like say 78.3 % of all tuber riders are left handed....

I counted 98 responses.

Left-handed: 30

Right-handed: 68

Basically what I was looking at was what hand you use to write with.
