I received the call today that I figure would come. State Farm is declaring my bike totalled. It truly sucks. Riding that bike never failed to put a smile on my face! I'm in the process now of seeing how I can get the bike back for little to nothing out of pocket. I'll miss it for damn sure.

Put the pieces in your living room, make it an excellent conversation piece, hell, if anything it might even get ya some tail. Nudge nudge, no what I mean eh? Know what I mean? A nod's as good as a wink to a blind bat.

suck.

Hopefully it makes $$$ sense to buy back. DAMHIK, but XBs crash real good. It might be totaled insurance wise, but It takes alot to totally trash one beyond a reasonable used parts rebuild.

Too funny...You drove all the way to the factory last night just for me?

I got Neil trying to work an angle for me. If it doesn't work out with him I'm just going to wait and see what I get back from my lost time at work, medical, etc... My father and mother-in-law have a couple bikes I know they would let me ride when I get the itch when healthy to ride.

My next bike will be another Buell for sure...One hell of a way to get that 1125R I wanted huh?

jesse, i didn't get to talk to your dad(was busy sanding something) so if you could, call the insurance guy and cry a poor mouth like i did also and tell them how there not making them anymore, that with your mom out of work, your parents won't be able to help you out again probably for quite a while.(any kind of bs, cough cough) just anything to lay a guilt trip on them and if he wants to know what you would do with it, just tell him something to use on the track. from what your mom said, it seems that the insurance co will get the bike. remember, little white lies.

Until, you've signed the title over to the insurance company when you accept their offer the bike is yours I presume.

If the system works anything like here, they deduct the buyback value from your payout & get you to sign a waiver absolving them of any future responsibility arising from buying the wreck.

That's what I did with the M2 which is slowly getting rebuilt, & it gave me enough to buy most of the TT.

Neil...

He did call. They basically told him that we could pay State Farm what the bike is worth in it's current state and they would pay the remainder off. We would then have to continue to pay on the note until it was paid off. We'll see what I get back from the guy who hit me...
