Sorry for the delay, but the photo album my sister was working on is insurmountable in it's construction. If they made a device to convert material things into ones and zeros I would just put the album up. But since that won't happen in my lifetime, here's a few from it. Poor old Susie, she was thee most spoiled dog there was.

That's about all she ever did was sleep, something with the brain tumor was what the vet said.

It's weird coming home from work expecting to have my dog come running at me full bore only to come home to an empty house, it's weird. We're looking at a 3yr old chihuahua that was rescued. It's neutered, house trained, and pee pad trained, all for 300$

I would love a Jack Russel, especially with button ears, where they fold forward instead of backwards or being perky. Susie's was perky, her tiny head and big ears always gave us a laugh. I used to call her 'Radar' cause of it, even though she was deaf as a doorknob.

+1 if you can adopt a great deserving dog. My GF did, and her dog is one of the most loving and intelligent beings I know.

Love the pics- I remember "MY" dog growing up, her name was "Lady"- a longhair epileptic chihuahua- no kidding, we gave her a pill every day for the epileptic attacks.\

I've got a 16 YO Basenji, not sure what I'll do when he passes. Except crawl under a large rock for awhile....

Good luck.

"The brightest lights are the shortest lived"
"Dogs are one of gods creatures who loves you more than it loves itself"
These are things that I understand well having 5 children with paws, they are precious things that come and go too quickly
Good luck with your next baby

She reminds me of our little Min Pin Penny. She broke her back 3 years ago in a fall from a spiral stair. She is now in a diaper and is blind in one eye and loosing sight in the other but she still rules the roost! We dread the day we know is coming. She is 13.

Good luck with your new best friend.

God created dogs and children to give man a small glimpse of the relationship He seeks with us.

To a dog, we appear omnipotent and immortal.

Anything good lives forever.
We remember it all our days, we tell our children & they tell theirs . . .

The best thing about dogs is that you can get another one, tell it daily that it will never measure up to its predecessor and they never get jealous.

Chihuahuas are great dogs. I never thought I'd love one, but ours has taken over the family. You won't regret a chi in the house.

Hey youn's- know of any good resources to help deal with your pup as the end nears?

I'm afraid my 16YO Basenji won't last too much longer- he's 100% needy, won't leave mine or my GF's side, beginning to show more and more erratic behavior, backing up in circles like a confused crawdad. I've been told that his kidney functions were marginal a couple of months ago- could that contribute to sketchy behavior like this?

Nothing lasts forever, but I honestly have no idea how to handle this. Books/websites/support groups are certainly in MY future...

Thanks.
