If you enjoy funky smooth grooves like Groove Armada or Thievery Corporation, take a listen. This is a local (Orlando) area act, Beef Wellington featuring Mellisa Mya.
All over the place depending on my mood. Or task, the music is ALWAYS on in the back round!

Psychobilly : All bow down and pay respect to the Godfather of psychobilly - The Reverend Horton Heat! An artist/band on a different level...especially live!
Voodoobilly : Deadbolt...PERIOD! If you've got an open mind to obscure music, do yourself a favor and check these guys out. Absolutely genius, creative, and different! If you really want to treat yourself, see them live...get ready for the Dewalt grinders, depending on local fire code regulations!

Industrial : Front 242, Manufacture, Front line Assembly, Consolidated, Meat Beat Manifesto, Die Warzau, NIN, Ministry, etc.
Ani Difranco-Indie Feminist and master of the acoustic guitar Probably my favorite artist of all due to her incredible lyrics and amazing guitar work
Elbow - Grounds for Divorce, simply a cool song
Turbonegro - Scandinavian Glam-Punk, they put on an awesome show, lyrics are insane and NSFW
Deer Tick - These old shoes, Another really cool song with a cool video
I have tons of weird stuff, I'll post more later. I'm loving this tread. I always enjoy finding new and interesting music. I don't care for much of the main stream stuff.
+1 to the Reverend, Bo Sox. Love him, always got my attention when I'd be teaching riders edge and would hear "psychobilly freakout" on the house music tracks advertising the Buells line. Hear he's coming to Orlando this spring.
We also always have music on in the background. Seems we have similar tastes too...love SCOTS and the fried chicken they toss around at their live shows.
The band Heartsfield was from IL. I believe,a country rock outfit that I think was awsome. They had a 5 guitar attack and 6 vocalists.Sweet harmonies from 1974 w/Racin' The Sun.
Danny Barnes and Thee Old Codgers, "Things I Done Wrong"
Seriously, some of the best freakbilly tunes evaar, and if you listen closely, several of the musicians sound like they're got classical training. Every track on the CD is marvelous.
"Funtime"
"Well, the hammer goes down and the gun goes boom I'm alone again/just been sprung from this little bitty room now I'm back again/close my eyes and the blood just pounds, little black circles going round and around round and raound anround and around again/ well it's funtime, all alone in my mind, baby it's funtime
Crap! Can't find it in my collection! Got a bad habit of loaning out music that I never see again...
I've mentioned it before on the Badweb, but it's time again to tell youn's about it:
As I write this I'm listening to WDVX, "East Tennessee's Own" listener supported public radio station. Any of you with the capability on your 'puters can go to their website- www.wdvx.com and get their webcast. True story: They got started broadcasting from a one-axle trailer parked north of Knoxville in Clinton TN, at a trailer park just off the interstate. They're been on the air going on 12-13 years now, many of the folks there are friends of mine.
Good folks around the world tune in that way- I can go to their new studio in downtown Knoxville if I get the urge...
This hard rock band came from England around 1970 and opened some US shows during the early 70's.Amazing and underrated. This is Tucky Buzzard w/ She's a striker.
