Sorry if this is a repost, but I searched and couldn't find anything on here.

Anybody have any more information about this bike/company? Seems like they're a performance company that revamps production vehicles — kind of like the RUF Porches. Except this time, it's the 1125R.

Magpul takes a stock 1125R and turns it into their "Ronin" bike ... not sure what mods they do, but looks like they use a girder/confederate/hossack front fork.

I can't get the pictures at work, so if someone would be so kind as to post a larger picture of it here?

The model 1125R was selected due its high level of performance and aesthetic potential that were never fully realized by Buell as a subsidiary of Harley Davidson.

I agree the 1125 was initially hobbled together but I believe some of that was an attempt to keep costs low. The new bike, that never made it to market, certainly looked much nicer. However, this Magpul design, in my opinion, overlooks function for form. I mean, look where the radiator is mounted - right where the fly screen normally is. Ok, Hooty, I wonder how that affects handling? That whole front end looks massive and clunky.

If it isn't mounted to the lower forks, how would it affect unsprung weight?

Note: My browser is hosed and I can't see the larger pictures, so I don't really know what I'm talking about...

From rubber loops on magazines to custom sportbikes.

I remember the name Ronin brought up on here in the name discussion of the, then hoped for, new buell company a couple months ago.

"I wonder how that affects handling?"

Good question. The 1125 already has a 50/50 or better weight bias correct? Or was that the XB12R? It may be that moving a little more weight over the front wheel might be a good thing. Like I said, I can't see the large pictures, so I can't see the detail you can. Is the radiator attached to the forks, or in a fixed position in front of them?

Moving mass outside the rotational axis is counter to the 3 basic design principles of Buell as well. It'll be less flickable.

Girder front end with center/front mounted radiator. It has to be mounted to the girder and not like a fairing stay with that little clearance between it and the fender. They just added water weight to the front end unsprung mass. It's also going to work the hell out of hoses over time.

Wow! This company just kicks ass all around.

I'll take one magpul masada/ACR in desert tan and a ronin in whatever color I can get.

Magpul? More like Mack Truck!

Love the radiator grille placement.

Just. Plain. Evil.

to me the bike looks like they slapped to bikes together that don't match and then replaced the forks with a second frame.

They will just sell the design to Honda and you can have one in three years for $27,000.00 - base model. I love Magpul products but for large items they seem to design, not produce.

Have they ever gotten that Masada to market? I haven't paid any attention to new firearms in years.

That looks dumb as hell. And you thought the 1125R was cobbled before...? There aren't 2 pieces on that thing that look like they actually belong together, other than the frame and swingarm.

I also find it stupid that they took an American bike and slapped a Japanese name on it. Was that really necessary? I get the significance, but still.

Oddball-
Magpul sold the design to Remington. Everyone was under the impression that it would come out at around $1500 MSRP. Remington took several years to get it to market and they just released it at $2700 MSRP for the base model, hence my above comment. Again, I LOVE Magpul products. I carry P-Mags everyday and really like their new sling. I just wish they had produced the Masada in house.

The bike looks BadA$#

If they toss in an FMG, you can count me in on buying one for sure.

I think the bike looks great, very Confederate looking for sure.

That's nuts. It was a cool design with metal rails for strength but with a quick easy cheap to mold plastic body. It also had a quick change barrel feature didn't it?

I liked their stocks. I watched the development and evolution of the designs over a few years on ar15.com.

Remington must have offered a big payday. They don't have the drive and passion that Magpul appeared to have back then. They were rather buell like. Clawing their way in the market, applying new ideas and adapting them to customer input. I don't think, under remington, that poor rifle will reach the heights it could have .

That folding machine gun looks like a plastic version of one from back in the cold war days.
