And the mainstream press thought Reagan was an idiot. There is NO ONE currently in government even remotely on par with Ronnie. He is sorely missed from my perspective.

He was a great leader. A man of clear convictions who stayed the course. I remember when I first became aware of him back in the mid 70's when I was in high school. He had a radio program that would air on the local station. I was like "this guy is right on". I have never regretted voting for him that's for sure.

Tired of the political BS being dragged out all over the place!

I mean seriously? Yeah yeah I know don't click on the thread, but with a vague title like this one the people who are here for fun and bikes get stuck reading this BS!

Frank Zappa: 'A wise man once said, never discuss philosophy or politics in a disco environment. '

Frank Zappa was a drug addict.

May I suggest voicing your concerns to Blake. Perhaps, he will ban political and religious posts and we all can be stuck reading threads about ClipArt ( My post, btw) and what to name our bikes.

A wise man would avoid a disco environment if at all possible.

It's worse than politics.

So do we all get to choose a topic that we don't want to be allowed on the QuickBoard, or is that something that only certain people are allowed to do? I vote to ban poetry.

Spidey, if you want to make this personal I'm game. If you expect me to back down from you or anyone else you're sadly mistaken. I get emails of encouragement and discouragement from fellow Badweb members. Not everyone wants to be beaten down by the whiners. I think pissing on another person's thread is rude ( what you did). Some of the threads on the Quickboard are downright stupid. Some of the posts I can't even read they are so mangled. However, I have NEVER up until this moment said so. I try to stick to the subject matter and debate the topic at hand without personal attacks. I admit, I don't always succeed but at least I don't attempt to intimidate others from speaking their mind.

As for believing you were tricked into reading this post - grow up !!! After the first sentence you should have gleaned the subject matter and closed the thread.

Let me say it more clearly this time. Grow some balls and email Blake directly. Would you like me to do it for you?

Yea, I'm being a prick and you're acting like a child.

Because if you don't like the subject matter of the threads why complain to the employees. Grow some balls and take it to management ( probably not because the last thread Blake posted on the Quickboard was about radical Islam - hardly motorcycle chat). I'm amazed you don't see the sheer ignorance of your behavior. Personally, I'd wish someone in management would take a stand one way or the other and settle it once and for all. I can live with any rules they wish to impose but I won't sit idly by while you and others attempt to impose YOUR will on others. If that makes me an a-hole, so be it.

Ron Paul is considered a radical. Exactly what this country needs. This country is heading for a cliff and some are worrying about having to look at posts that make their eyes fill with water.

I am totally offended. I just clicked onto Spidey's profile page and it had two Presidential quotes on it. Very misleading. I am so tired of the Political BS.

I do miss Reagan. I miss capitalism. I miss the days when people didnt walk on eggshells because of someone elses politically correct agenda.
Hell I even miss the 'Evil Empire'; at least you knew what they were up to.

Are there ten presidential quotes from the last seventeen years worth posting here?

If so have at it.

Speaking of profiles, not posting your name or occupation is just one small level above posting as anonymous. Are some of you ashamed of who you are or what you do? There are certainly good reasons for keeping your info off, like you're a celebrity, or anonymous because you're an insider of some type. But posting stuff to the internet without being open to who you are is just another form of being anonymous . It's easy to type some big tough sounding shit on a forum like this. Would you do it to the others face? Most likely not.

I do agree, this is supposed to be a Buell motorcycle forum. But is is also more than that, it is a place for those with that much in common to discuss whatever. Facts are facts and opinions are, well.....like assholes, everyones got one. And everyones entitled to one (or 100's) so why do some get so personal? When you do it is really a reflection on how you feel about yourself. I say this not just because of this post but as a reaction to so many I see.

You're obviously unaware of another post where one of the moderators, Ft_Bstd, claims Rocketman contacted his (Ft's) grandmother complaining about him or something to that affect. I don't need that kind of crap in my life.

Not precisely the quote, but an appropriate if ignominious taste from his term.
