Here's how.

1. Text "HAITI" to 90999. 10$(USD) to donate to the Red Cross.
2. Text "YELE" to 501501 to donate $5(USD) to Yele Haiti’s Earthquake Relief efforts.
3. Text "GIVE10" to 20222 to donate 10$(USD) to the Direct Relief fund.

The above is for Americans. Us Brits can go here, http://www.google.co.uk/relief/haitiearthquake/

Or whatever country you may be in, simply do a Google search for Haiti Relief. I've already donated 20 quid, will you help save lives as well?

X5 isn't American... He probably cares just as much about helpless Americans as he cares about dying Haitians. I've donated to all 3, there are plenty of organizations that help out the helpless here in the USA, you just have to look.

I'll donate $20 to buy the country and then donate it to the military for bomb testing grounds. Lets worry about our own country first.

I do care just as much about the people in Haiti as I do in the States. If America was to have a disaster of this magnitude I would feel as much sympathy towards America as I do Haiti.

In fact, when hurricane Katrina hit the southern states I donated loads of money to relief efforts and aid. So, if you guys would like to, post some places I can donate to in the USA. I'd be more than willing to help the poor or hungry or for wildlife conservation.

Seems weird when people here say "let's take care of our own", then when the government tries, most bitch about it and don't want to. How ironic.

Xb9er, that may well be the most idiotic statement I have ever seen here. I hope you really don't want the military to bomb untold millions of people to their death.

Be careful making stupid statements. Some one might just believe you.

Didn't take long for this topic to go south

I believe XB9 said buy the country for $20 and then bomb it. I infer that to mean purchase the property - remove the people and turn it into a military testing grounds.

Another really good one is Feed My Starving Children (www.fmsc.org)
I've done volunteer work for them a number of times.
94% of your donations go directly to food relief. Only 6% is overhead.

I did a $100 donation the other day.

The real need will come in 3 months when everyone has forgotten this and moved on to the next disaster or event.

Ferris - OK, lets relocate the millions of people from Haiti. All of them. Do you now get the stupidity of Xb9er's statement now?

I just get tired of people who not only don't care, but feel they need to make a statement like that.

I donated to a relief fund for Haiti. I hope others will also, this is a terrible tragedy.

Taking care of those in need is what we do. It's part of being the biggest dog on the block. XB9ers comment was rude and heartless and unfortunately what I've come to expect from certain people on this planet and apparently badweb. If donating a few dollars helps another human being survive or give a loved one some honor and decency in death than that is what we should be doing. Not figuring out how the money would be better spent on ourselves.

There is not one place in the United States that is even remotely in as much need as those in Haiti are right now.

When tragedy like this strikes, it isn't about boarders... it's about helping people in need.

Those who would choose to give or not give.. that is their own choice. But If you have rude or inconsiderate things to say about these folks, just take a few minutes to watch a few of the videos or pictures coming out of Haiti, then close your eyes and imagine that the same thing happened in your neighborhood, and it was your child, or Mom, or friend who was crushed beneath a building....

There is no place in the United States as bad as some of the places I've been on their best day.

Spend a little time in Africa, Central or South America and you will find out what poor is.

As far as helping out our own... only if they NEED it... need help because of Katrina or some other disaster,
NO PROBLEM.

If you're a lazy bastard and want to suck on the government tit for the rest of your life.... go pound sand.

Haiti will be rebuilt before New Orleans?

Where's the text 99099 "rebuild Louisiana" fund?

There's still people living in the make-shift FEMA villages down there.

Understood the country is leveled...but what else did people expect when Haiti's buildings were made from Legos? People knew about it for decades and did nothing until a disaster happened? Now that's the saddest part of all of this.

People have known about the levies in New Orleans for decades too. One of the reasons I dont live there. I love me the food, but I would never live there.
Too many family members swamped out by the hurricanes that happen EVERY year.

I wouldnt live in Kansas either. Damn tornados!

Spent the weekend with the Red Cross, helping their team get ready to fly out on Tuesday.

My problem with Haiti is that the nation is a black hole for money and aid. The people can do nothing for themselves, even before the quake. I feel for them having been in California for three major quakes and as I remember we were on our own. My dad and our family re- built our home(half of it)living in the garage in the process.
They didn't want the french there, and they didn't want us there, so now they have self serving thieves for government and extreme poverty. There have been uncountable agencies there for years trying to help but it remains a vacuum for charities.

Unfortunately its the people suffering not the heads of state.

Please send 10 dollars it will make almost no difference to your life but could mean everything to someone else!

Is ten bucks really going to break everyones bank? Just think, some of you may get hit by a tornado, hurricane, earthquake, or any natural disaster. And will need help. Oh, but what's that? That's right, there's just too many dicks out there who only care about themselves. Karma can be a bitch.

It would mine. I have a grand total of $8.37 in my account. I stay neutral and don't donate to anyone. Not because I don't want to...because I can't. When I have the money to, it needs to go to me. Is that wrong?

Oh wait they already did that.
